JEANINE AND PHILIP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You both helped me in a really stressful situation. Thank you so so so much for the speedy direction, guidance and service to buy the toilet. I MADE IT IN TIME FOR MY MEDICARE TRAINING thanks to you both!!!! and a nice random stranger who helped me load my car. I rushed in at 8:12 - the lady in Self Checkout helped me get assistance. Jeanine. Then I rushed back to toilets where Philip jumped right in I told them I think I’m on a game show. He helped me understand the differences and I chose a middle/lower priced one $149. He got it on the dolly thing and I RAN to check out. Out the door by 8:22am!!! Then I had to get it into the car - where all of the medicare stuff is. Pulled it out and was trying to figure the dimensions - a random guy walked by and helped me load it. I’m back home by 8:32 when the road to our house is BLOCKED due to construction!! Noooooo!!! I cannot carry the thing to the house. Got redirected the other side of the hood opened up and rushed back…parked and DONE. It’s in time for me to do my training!!!
HDs are not all created equal. I've been in some over the last couple of years, and inventory was quite good, and others where the inventory is hurting to non-existent. When the store's inventory is poor or non-existent for months on end, yet the item can be bought in other stores 40mi away, I question inventory management more so than the covid excuse that's always being used. When the online inventory states an item is in stock and it is not, the time lost is extremely significant and almost pushes me away for good. I feel like the quality of the materials is anywhere from average to well below average, with pricing from well above average to average. The cost of some products skyrocketed during covid and have realized only a marginal, if any, decrease since. One of the few stores allowed to stay open during covid and just made a killing, an ongoing money grab is what I'm feeling is happening. The store in the attached photo did keep a fine looking parking lot the day this photo was taken.
The Home Depot is a one-stop shop for all your home improvement needs. With a vast selection of products, competitive prices, and knowledgeable staff, it's a go-to destination. Their online platform and in-store experience make it convenient to find everything from tools to appliances. The Home Depot's commitment to customer satisfaction is evident through their excellent return policy and helpful customer service. Whether you're a DIY enthusiast or a professional contractor, The Home Depot is the place to go for quality products and expert advice.
The rental department is a joke. We reserved a generator for a wedding Sat Sept 23rd. On Thursday the 22nd at about 7:00pm they sent us a text and said the reservation was cancelled. The dude who was running the rental department had someone come in for one and just gave it to them even though we had an $300 deposit. Therefore the day before our wedding we had to scramble to find a generator. Sunbelt gave us a brand new out of the box generator for rent for $105 which was a third of the price and they were more reliable. We will not be using home Depot for rentals anymore.
Jim was so helpful. We were getting railroad ties. He got employees to help load them in our truck. We needed ratchet straps as well. He helped pick some out and showed us how they worked. All the employees were so nice.!!! Best Home Depot experience we have had. Thank you Jim!!!
They have a panel saw but nobody to operate it. The saw operator was called directly and then with two calls over the PA. I gave up after waiting 10 minutes. Waste of my time. Will not return.
Home Depot continues to place more items behind locked fences but associates are never available to unlock them particularly at this store. 3 for 3 times in recent history, after waiting at least 15 minutes no one has arrived. I continue to shift my purchases to local lumber store, Ace, Lowe's, Acme Tools, and Amazon where possible.
I needed a replacement light switch and thought it was a 1-pole switch. I found the light switches in aisle 6 and the 1-pole swches did not match my defective switch. I found an associate nearby who was breaking down a cardboard box. I waited until he was done and I said, "excuse me". The associate ignored me and I said it once again. He then looked at me, didn't say a word, and stared at me. I held up my defective light switch and asked, "is this a 1-pole light switch?" He said "yes, they're in aisle 6". The associate turned away and didn't say another word. I said, "thank you" and I didn't buy a replacement light switch because they didn't match my defective switch. The associate could care less about helping me. I have never experienced this at any store. I ended up going to a different hardware store where an employee helped me find a replacement light switch. It was actually a 3-way light switch.
Came in to pick up the last half of an online order, and to get a 10" metal cutoff blade could be the 2nd most common consumable in construction tooling. Felt kinda dismissed, overall, they didn't have the blade or even a suggestion to solve my need, like when they would be in. Seemed like I was annoying the guy in customer service when I asked why it was in a nondescript, Home Depot box see the irony? vs the factory packaging. This store is predictably disorganized, and most of the time doesn't have what I need - even common items. I supposed you can blame supply chain issues, but, it's always been a substandard store, and hasn't gotten any better. Worth paying higher prices at Ace, or going another 10 miles to Lowes.
Good place, but, don't think you'll have any help with heavy items. Iam 72 and I could get no on to help me stack 20 12" x12" stepping stones on a cart , push to cashier then push to my car, and load into car. I also needed mulch. Same deal until my last day Ethan was there, and finally, I got help. It ridiculous that there was 1 real man there that would help Ethan! He wouldn't let me struggle and did it all. Thank you, Ethan. Nannette
