This is my go-to place to buy supplies for my travel trailer. Besides renovating the bathroom, I bought wood for the floor, foam boards and tape for the skirting, along with insulation for the hose and sewer line. Soon I'll get the 36" carpet squares peel and stick. I'm glad there are several stores nearby for on the spot shopping. The staff is helpful and you can also use the app to locate specific items in the store ahead of time; or order for pickup.
Mostly good. We do a lot of home projects, and this store usually has decent stock of electrical supplies, lighting, tools, etc. One note: DO NOT BUY APPLIANCES HERE. Full stop. They use R.A.S. Logistics to deliver the appliances, which is a complete nightmare to work with go read reviews of them. Until Home Depot finds a new delivery company, avoid at all costs.
I will no longer shop at this Home Depot store. Considering that I spent upwards of $4000.00 there in the last year, it is their loss and not mine. I have gone into this store on several occasions close to noon as I work nights, and I have been locked out of aisles because they are stocking. HELLO!!! YOU NEED TO DO YOUR STOCKING AT NIGHT WHEN THERE ARE NO CUSTOMERS!!! When I asked how long the aisle would be down, the employees acted clueless and rude on both occasions. Whoever came up with this daytime stocking schedule needs to be fired. Until then, I will now shop at Lowes, where there is none of this nonsense going on.
I disagree with the CEO of Home Depot and his politics, but I try to shop locally to support my community. Home Depot in Oak Ridge always has most everything and can be a lifesaver for a novice, like me Because I always have to go back and get something I didn't know I needed...lol
Staff were very kind and helpful. A man named Gary assisted us when looking for a specific item to the best of his ability. I was very pleased with everything.
If you want "help" at Home Depot. You'll likely have to pull the fire alarm. It's probably the only way you're gonna get any of their employees' attention. I do not endorse nor do i encourage YOUR decision to pull the fire alarm.
It'd be nice if they'd explain to some of the lazy idjits that "contractor pickup" is not "entitled park while you shop for 2 hours".. Half the time you can't even get your lumber out the door there's so many. Also supply and demand on lumber has pretty much stabilized after 3 years of chaos. There should not be 19 boomerang boards for every 1 straight one. Quality control is lacking in that department. At least the days of not being able to find a lumber cart because they've used them all in the back for pickup orders looks to be over.
Carrie Whatley was the best in customer service. When I rented the truck, she pulled it around for me and followed to make sure I got the fairest price. She's a legend.
Rude employee in paint dept today because I asked for paint dot on the lid to be wiped off after she handed it to me without drying it on my gallon if paint. That stopped me for buying the rest of what I needed. Since this is the 3rd incident with rude employees because of asking for help, I will be more than happy to go to Lowes. Worth the extra drive to keep from being upset.
I used to like home depot but now I just think they are anti-veteran with their new veterans discount policy of scanning a barcode that you have to keep on you every time and capping your discounts to $400 a year, so I'd rather shop at Lowe's and be recognized and appreciated for my service instead of cut off at $400 a year in discounts when I probably spend that much in a couple of months. So keep your $400 a year veterans discount home depot and I'll take my veteran money to Lowe's. Besides, they are cheaper on their prices anyway.
