One could have a good visit but on average I find driving down the road to their competitor has always been a better option. Most likely due to their competitor treating their employees much better. Little bit also due to item availability.
When are the home Depot today on pine Island road in Cape Coral, Florida to get several estimates to repair areas in my home. I needed an estimate for double garage door into two French doors in front of my house. As usual, there is nobody at the desk and find any one willing to help. Went up to customer service and they sent pro desk and lo and behold it was closed. Went back to customer service and asked for a manager to help me. She was too lazy to help. He told me they had no one at department today and I had to drive 30 minutes to another store if probably about a $20,000 estimate. What happened to customer service when I work at a lumber store in college and right out of college we did everything we could help. The customer not pass them along to another store unless we just simply didn't have the product in another store did.
Attention All Shoppers! You are NOT to be trusted at Home Depot!!! Went to pick up a couple of items. As you enter the store you pass several men with guns in their wasteband. No IDs, no uniforms wearing t-shirts and pants and illegal. Open carry is not legal in Florida. If asked, they say they're security. You encounter the same at the exit. As people shop for tools and supplies after Ian, do we really need to feel further threatened by thugs why not? at the doors. Haven't we been through enough? If they are official they should proudly wearing the appropriate uniforms and name badges.
As a contractor I spend roughly 5k a month at home depot rental equipment. This particular location always causes me some sort of issue. I rented a trencher for 4 hours. Upon return I got chewed out for not putting it back in the spot it came out if because there was a truck parked in it. The lady in charge was rude and told me they were gonna charge me to move it. Then wants to charge another 200$ because the trencher has sand on the wheels for a cleaning fee. Meanwhile not a single person helping me had the capability to figure out how to start and test the machine. I had to do it. Whoever the lady in charge of this department will do anything to try and up charge you. $200 moving fee??? because you can't block off a parking spot. I'll take my buisness elsewhere. I know good help is hard to find. But that ladies attitude is going to kill the rental department there .
Tresa and Craig the Managers of the Home Depot in Fort Myers Store 0268. Allow employees like Fred to yell, scream and cuss customers with no consequences. Home Depot has become one of the worst companies for Home Improvement supplies. Everyone should go to Lowe's Home Improvement they have better service over there than the service that they have at Home Depot. The managers at Home Depot are the reason the Home Depot has went down hill so bad. This is absolutely a disgrace and extremely disappointing behavior of this place. This is not the place Frank and Marvin were running back in 2010.
Inexcusably poor customer service. Employees say whatever they have to for us to shut up and go away. We paid in full for flooring and 3 delays later we cannot have a refund because of "store policies". We made 3 orders for delivery and all were late with the flooring still in limbo. I'm disgusted by the Home Depot.
Needed a riding mower belt. They had it, but I had to dig through every bin and sort out the belts myself. Allot weren't even even labeled, I finally found the belt by googling the numbers on the belt. More worried about setting up the Christmas stuff... before Thanksgiving even
Out of stock on everything we went for, not an associate ‍‍ in sight figures the persil laundry pods were broken open and every container was soaked and messy. they apparently need some more staff
The employees are awesome! Asked many questions to find things and everyone was kind and very helpful. The gentlemen working in plumbing supplies and making keys was very busy helping people and remained calm and did a great job. He helped us find what we needed and he was very knowledgeable. Another employee came all the way out in the parking lot to help us. He was very kind and caring. Thank you for hiring such a great bunch of people! Made my experience a very good one!
Purchased a supposed brand new grill through online pick up. Chose the option to have the grill already assembled at pick up. When I got home and got a chance to look at it I discovered the poor condition of the product. I’m not sure if this has been sitting in the store for a long time or if this was bought and returned by someone else but I don’t think this is acceptable. I would return this back to the store but I truly don’t have the time. Very disappointed, I will not buy another grill from Home Depot again.
