The Honeycrisp Cafe offers locally roasted Abeantogo coffee, gourmet sandwiches and paninis using breads made daily from Alma Hill and our organic veggies.
Our Goal
The goal at The Honeycrisp Cafe’ and Sandwich Shop is to keep things fresh, simple, and as local as possible. A down home take on some of your traditional favorites, as well as hot and cold sandwiches that will open up your taste buds to new experiences. We want to fuse together great taste, service, and atmosphere to create a quality, family oriented fun that our regular guests to Porter’s Orchard have grown to love over the years.
Our Coffee
We strive to bring you the most local and fresh ingredients as possible. Our coffee is locally roasted by Master Roaster Kirk Walker of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abeantogo located in the heart of Goodrich Michigan. Offering a number of light to dark full flavored roasts, as well as delicious flavored coffee like caramel apple and pumpkin pie! Our coffee can be purchased by the cup or by the pound in whole bean form or ground right here in house! Stop in for a personal pour over, or just swing by and grab one of our roasts of the day for a quick in and out experience!
Our Breads and Baked Goods
Our bread is freshly baked daily by Amos Spahnie and Carla Lipari of Alma Hill breads, also located in Goodrich MI. Offering a variety of new and old world styles like Rye, Sourdough, Challah, and many others. This bread will take you back to how bread was intended to be… simple, hearty, and made daily. Carla and Amos also bake up some of the most delicious scones of many flavors like chocolate espresso, sea salted caramel, and black berry to name a few that are served here at The Honeycrisp Cafe’. Keep an eye out for their to die for cookies and other treats as well!
Our Veggies
It is our mission to bring you as many organic vegetables and herbs out of our three organic green houses as possible. We want our customers to know where their food is coming from and what is an easier answer for us than……right in our backyard! Keep in mind that unfortunately our Michigan weather doesn’t always permit growth of all crops year round, so just ask us what has been recently harvested from field, to your sandwich.
Our Meats and Cheeses
At The Honeycrisp Cafe we provide our customers with quality meats and cheeses. We never carry deli meat with artificial colors, flavors, fillers, extenders or MSG. All of our meats and cheeses are also nitrate and gluten free.
