All the beers you could ever want in East Nashville. Welcoming environment and a very friendly atmosphere. Try the bacon and thyme popcorn!! Menu changes regularly, so, if you're needing some guidance, ask for Genevieve!!! She's awesome!
Great beer selection and lots of bar nibbles. Quiet spot for a drink if you want to avoid crowds. Very clean and nice decor. They have ice spheres for your whiskey plus a variety of bitters which is a nice touch. Had the Chicago dog which had a good flavor and all the requisite ingredients except the poppy seed bun. However, the bun-to-wiener ratio heavily favored the bread and not the link. And... it's a $7 hot dog. So my suggestion is to try something else off the menu because there seems to be some other tasty bites. Still, if you love beer you won't be disappointed with the selection or the service from the friendly staff.
Love this place! Meatball sub and the "dogs" are fantastic! Plenty of beer choices and great staff really put it over the top of cool hang out places. **Edit - this awesome place is under attack! Neighboring establishment patrons were jamming the parking lot and leaving it TRASHED. This was being cleaned up by Hop Stop employees. Yes, you partied in their lot and they cleaned up your mess. The owner of the lot paid to pave the lot and improve it. He decided to charge only $2.00 for parking - refundable on your purchase! So.. If you are parking at the Hop Stop, PARKING IS FREE! If you are parking there and visiting other places... parking is only $2.00. It is a reasonable rate.
Best beer venue I found in Nashville. Cool knowledgeable staff who made some great recommendations. The venue is a great space and I enjoyed hanging out here. Only downside being it was out of downtown so had to drive back which limited the number of beers I could have. The beer selection is great with a lot of local craft you won't find in any other bars around town. If you can only get to one beer bar in Nashville make it The Hop Stop.
This place is great located in the East Hill area! And kid friendly! Best loaded hot dogs on toasted sesame buns...best ever and I'm from Chicago! Awesome Mac & Cheese topped with fresh bacon. Delightful cold bean salad! Devilicious Belgian Chocolate Brownie drizzled with honey and powdered sugar. Tons of great beer on tap...they even have hard root beer on tap, which is dangerously delicious! My husband and I are planning to go there once a week for dogs and beer, methodically checking off 1 beer a week until we've tried them all!
Exactly as advertised. Slow paced, good beer, good people and hot dogs. If you are stuck at the Gaylord, take the quick ride over and enjoy the calm. Service is good. Beer is really good. Great variety of styles too.
Very calm place for a small meeting or get together for a few beers. Nice darts area and pretty large beer selection. I haven't eaten here, but they do have a menu.
Awesome beer selection and I will definitely return! But a carrot for a vegetarian hot dog... GTFO!!! You might wanna mention that its a steamed carrot in a bun, on the menu... Some times I like to eat lean, with my mean green eating machine friends!
So yes, the beer is cold and there are many to choose from and the staff is friendly and knowledgable and the service is good and you can play bingo on Sundays and there are darts, but I'm here to talk about the Vegetarian Nachos. Holy cow, those things are good.
As a beer and darts enthusiast, I had high hopes for this place. Committing to give it a try, I drove past it, turned around, and pulled in to park to find instructions to pay a machine. This was not going to happen, so I drove a short distance home to visit the place by bus. I thought about the parking, and thought it forgivable if the establishment did not have the rights to the lot. Inside I am met with a sign reminding people to pay to park, and offering a rebate on purchase for the parking amount. So it isn't such a forgivable thing. Next, I am given a menu. I make a selection despite the menu listing it as a criminally priced six dollar pint. I know what beer costs to brew, and what restaurants and bars must pay for it. I expect better value. I only return to places that give me better value. But then I am told it is actually six fifty a pint. Two bucks to park, and beer is more expensive than the menu indicates. Criminally priced beer in hand, I check the dartboards. One board was unsuitable for play. On all of the boards the lighting was terrible. If you hit a trip 20 then the bullseye is now in shadow. Without the lighting being redone so that no dart in the board casts a visible shadow, this location is totally unsuitable for darters. The decor and staff were fine. But for a place named as it is, with a dart scoreboard mural painted outside, this place does not in fact rise to its own level of pretention.
