Clean & well maintained room, conveniently located right on the park. Nearly zero amenities - they figured out that removing the front desk saves on staffing so after you check in at the check in building a few blocks away, you’re on your own. No room service or anything. The reason to stay here is you are right on the edge of the water park so kids can run right over or back to the room for a change of clothes or whatever. Gift shop & coffee shop are both rudimentary at best, competent & friendly staff but very bare bones offerings. If all you want is to be right on the park, this is for you.
Worst place ever. After getting into the room we found black mold on the grout in the bathroom, also you could clearly see the place had not actually been cleaned. They did move us, see photos of the "updated" bathroom. Still gross. Spiders and webs in evey corner. The indoor pool water was so cold we could not get in. The park itself is OK, but again all the water is freezing. I would never stay here again. I asked to have my money back and leave, but no one can communicate in English very well so that did not happen. O stars. Don't come here.
We stayed in building 1-E. The mattresses were honestly garbage and the springs were all over the place in the mattress. The rooms had no service and if you wanted towels you had to call for them. If you wanted the dirty towels taken away you put them in the hallway where they will stay for hours. Our room had ZERO dressers. We were forced to live out of the suitcases for 4 days. Just a pain. Especially when you have a bunch of clothes to change in to and out of with land and water parks to attend. The key pad for entrance to building 1-E was half hanging off the wall. I wasn't even sure if the key was needed to get in which was a concern. The water park is amazing. The family had a blast. The new Medusa water ride was pretty cool. The land theme park was really fun. The Hades Rollercoaster was something I wasn't expecting from a resort park. Sit in the front! All in all the parks are great which is where you spend most of your time anyway. Which is why I assume the living arrangements are heavily over looked. Rooms: Rooms were terrible. But most of your time is out of them anyway. Nearby activities: Everything is close by. It's in the best location I think for the area.
It was a bit pricey and with the price we paid they did not include basic breakfast. The bar food in the arcade area was extremely expensive. They charge 20 cents extra for each item you add to the burger. I did not pay for toppings 79 dollars for 5 items is ridiculous. Food tasted nasty and workers were rude. We were on the first floor so you can hear everything little sound from the floor above. There is no front desk workers there to help with any questions or concerns, you have to use a phone in the lobby to connect with someone. I don’t think it makes any sense to have the check in and out location down the road 6 minutes down.
Do not base your stay on the bad reviews! We were hesitant to come here because of the nasty reviews but it appears most of those bad reviews are probably just uptight yuppies that just find it necessary to complain about anything... This place is nice!! We stayed at the hotel Rome. It is so close to the water park and theme park, it took us like five mins to walk there. The atmosphere and energy of the park is warm and friendly. Some of the younger staff didn't seem too friendly but the majority of the staff was very nice and friendly. The room was clean, neat, and had adorable Rome themed wall paper. I absolutely loved the set up on the rooms. We had a room with two queens and a bunk bed. The size of the rooms are very decent and hardly a walk at all to the parking lot. We had our vacation weds-friday so the park wasn't very busy at all, which is what we were aiming for. I wouldn't recommend going on the weekend if your not wanting it to be packed though, because it was busy, but not overly busy mid week, it was tolerable. The walls are then, yes you can hear people at times running in the halls, as you would at a home, store, or college campus but it is momentarily and usually not during quie. The water park and theme park were clean, well kept and overall just awesome!! Overall we REALLY enjoyed our stay and definitely recommend this place, especially for the price Price- absolutely affordable Hotel- clean, neat, cute themes Staff- seemed very young, quiet, not overly friendly
Extremely expensive to stay at compared to most other places and even their other hotel rooms not in that building but understandably bc you r right there next to the park and there r only so many rooms and money buys luxury! We paid $125 a night for their cheapest place, the cabins and it was $650 the same night back in the day it was way cheaper! Love mt Olympus!!!
Rooms are small, beds are very old, service is horrible. No customer service line. No working wifi, front desk was ignoring calls asking for help.Rooms: 1/5
That hotel should be closed by the health system. Everything is very dirty, the carpets are disgusting, I paid almost 600 dollars to sleep in a dirty bed... I will never go back and I will never get tired of giving it bad reviews.Rooms: 1/5
We reserved 4 nights then decided to add one more night. When we checked in, they said we had to go back the following day also to get new room keys because we added a day to our original reservation. Annoying, but fine. We went back and got new room keys the following day and even though they said we didn't need new wristbands, I asked again just to be sure. They said we didn't. Well 11:30pm rolls around on the second day, and a worker is knocking on our door, "checking to see if the room is occupied". My husband answered the door and let him scan his wristband. Two minutes later they are calling the room phone. It's 11:30 at night!!! We're sleeping. They said we needed new wristbands. This couldn't wait until morning? We are here for 3 more days. Now for the rest of my review on the hotel. The rooms are a decent size but the beds are terrible. The worst part about the rooms is that they are SO noisy. Anytime someone is in the hall, it sounds like they are in the room with you. I don't like the new route to the parking lot. You have to go like a half mile out of the way just to get back to the front of the hotel/parking lot. We've been here a few times before and this is by far our worst experience.
The rooms seemed clean enough, there weren't enough blankets though and the waterpark wasn't open long enough to take advantage of it. Even the day we left it didn't open until 10 which was also checkout time. If they extended the hours for swinning that may also help with the congestion of the lines during the hours they're open. The slides make sense but standing in line for a hot tub seems unnecessary. Overall it could have been nicer it was a decent place to sleep that felt safe.
