The Housing Partnership is a non-profit organization that develops affordable workforce housing for low to moderate income residents of the Greater Seacoast regions of New Hampshire and Maine.
The Housing Partnership is a nonprofit organization founded in 1988 by local businesses, the United Way and concerned citizens in response to the critical shortage of affordable housing.
Simply put, our mission is to strengthen communities by providing quality, safe, secure and affordable housing for citizens of the Seacoast who need it.
Since our founding 28 years ago, we have developed 400 quality affordable housing units for low- and moderate-income residents in 12 communities of the Greater Seacoast region. We currently serve more than 500 adults, children, senior citizens and disabled persons.
Through our Homeward Bound Program, The Housing Partnership provides first-time homebuyer education and 1 on 1 pre-purchase advising.
Few can argue with the fact that the need for affordable housing for low- and moderate-income families in the Seacoast region has increased considerably over the past several years and is now considered acute. Real estate markets here are among the most expensive in New Hampshire and Maine. As one of the few nonprofit developers focusing on affordable housing development on the Seacoast, The Housing Partnership’s work is more important than ever.
