Holiday Boutique event was festive and filled with great handcrafted gifts like silk and cashmere scarves, artisan oils and jams, art deco glassware, and beautiful, unique jewelry. Also featured were a great variety of elegant and rustic ornaments and other Christmas decorations. The children's section is also filled with great books, games, and toys.
This is the best museum gift shop ever with amazing kids section
Lots of things to see and purchase. Was a little put off because other "classy ladies" were asked if they needed assistance with the jewelry, but me, in my bus driver uniform, was not asked. And I did like Some of rhe pieces in the glass cabinet behind the sales counter.
Excellent museum gift shop - wide range of items, fun to explore
Very cute gift shop.
Really upscale and exceptionally curated gift shop. Items are arranged by themes, which means you will spend more than you planned because you see something else that goes with it perfectly. Cherry blossoms, peacocks, Arts & Crafts, tea pots, truly beautiful editions of children's books.
VERY DISAPPOINTED With store policy of not replacing defective merchandise. I bought one of their gorgeous black face masks with flowers based on a centuries old tapestry. The mask was generally well constructed, with a metal piece in the nose. After only two weeks the piece broke and so the mask does not function at all. It does not hold the mask close to the face any longer. I called and they said sorry we don’t refund even defective merchandise. Surely they could charge it back to the manufacturer or supplier as when I worked earlier in retail we did routinely. WATCH OUT!!! Not good value for a mask which with shipping cost $24, but only lasted two weeks. None of the other masks I’ve had for months has done this.
I have visited here multiple times, unfortunately it just is never as nice as I hope. The gift items are very overpriced, for what they are. It is crowded, with too small aisles for the volume of people coming through. And the people working there never fail to be rude. I do not recommend stopping by here while at the gardens. The cafe next door, on the other hand, is well worth the visit.
I’m from out of town and wanted to order something I saw in the store on a recent visit. It was not in the catalog so when I called the store I expected it might be a difficult transaction. Not only did I not know the correct name of the item I didn’t know the price. Fortunately I reached Marlena Lopez! Marlena was patient, professional and went beyond what she needed to do for me. She took pictures of the items to make sure they were the correct ones, emailed and called me back in a prompt fashion. Marlena, you are simply the best!
Best. Place. Ever. If you need a gift for some one you just might find it here. From note cards or a book to really nice jewelry, they have that and much more. They are only closed on Tuesdays AND you don't need a membership to go to the gift store or the restaurants in the entry area. Enjoy!
