Mission
The Institute Library provides support for the creation and promotion of literature, civil discourse, and the visual arts, for its members and for the new Haven community-at-large.
Vision
The library remains dedicated to its historical purpose of “mutual assistance in the attainment of useful knowledge” through its collection, reading and exhibition spaces, programs, and events.
