Award-Winning Dance Education and Excellence in Classical Ballet Training for all students Ages 3 & Up.
ICSB offers programs that will fit any dancer at any point in their training:
The International City School of Ballet has a strict syllabus appropriate for each level of ballet instruction that continuously builds each dancer's ballet foundation throughout their tenure in our School. We focus on developing new techniques correctly the first time they are taught and firmly believe that all dancers in each class must master the step before moving forward. The School desires to provide each dancer with a strong technique base that enables them to dance beyond their age limitation.
The primary goal of the International City School of Ballet is to provide exceptional ballet instruction to our students. In doing so, we strive to create a healthy and positive atmosphere in which all dancers can develop strong dance technique, poise, confidence, musicality, creativity, and artistry.
Quality Instruction: due to small student-to-teacher ratios in our classes.
A Custom Fit: our syllabus is tailored to bring out the best in every dancer while addressing weaknesses to maximize progress.
Invaluable Life Lessons: the powerful work ethic and attention to detail learned in ballet training can be translated to all situations and can prepare them to be succesful in any career or workforce.
The Open Division: a program, similar to the Upper Division in age range and quality, but geared towards those searching for a needed boost in their technique, but are not necessarily interested in pursuing a career in classical ballet.
Founded in 2004 in Warner Robins, GA, the International City School of Ballet, under the artistic direction of Ms. Georne Aucoin, embodied a strong desire and vision. The vision Ms. Aucoin had for the school was not only to educate dancers in the middle georgia area but also to educate the community with the performing arts. It was a school that would enable serious young dancers to receive extensive training year-round while also being able to experience valuable performance opportunities. Since then it quickly became a standard of excellence in dance education throughout GA and has generated widespread attention in the dance community.
ICSB strives to enrich the lives of students through the introduction and study of classical dance. In order for students to triumph as dancers, the School has provided a select faculty of highly qualified professionals and a curriculum that blends discipline and enjoyment in equal measure. ICSB aims to challenges each dancer to reach their fullest indvidual potential and to understand a keener love for the art of dance.
Students of ICSB have had the opportunity to participate in some of the world’s largest student ballet competitions such as the Youth America Grand Prix, World Ballet Competition, Prix de Lausanne, USA International Ballet Competition, etc.
Our mission is simple: to teach students to build a dream in their art. This dream can be accomplished through a combination of training, dedication, and most importantly, passion. Our curriculum gives each dancer the tools not only to be a technician but also to truly believe in and love the art of ballet.
Most importantly, ICSB’s ambition is to provide all students with the limitless significance of a dance education that transfers beyond technical achievements.
