And the highest profit is gained from selling foods that cost the least to produce: GRAINS and STARCHES. The food industry even created the food pyramid to get us to believe that grains and starches are what we should eat most.
The problem with all these grains and starches (carbohydrates in many colors, shapes, sizes and flavors -- just walk the cereal aisle, for example) is that they lead us to eat TOO MANY CARBS. And they taste great. We've never met a french fry we didn't like. Or a chocolate cupcake, for that matter.
And so we gain weight and get sick. And we can't lose it and get healthy again. We are carb-addicted.
