Kids Place offers free & secure child-friendly areas for children ages 2-12 to stay while their parents/guardians conduct business in the Winnebago Co. Courthouse, Criminal Justice, Juvenile Justice, Regional Intervention Center or Probation Office.
LOCATIONS: Kids’ Place is located in the lower level of the Winnebago County Courthouse and off the first floor lobby in the Criminal Justice Center.
HOURS: Monday – Friday
8:15 a.m. – Noon
1:00 – 5:00 p.m.
COST: None. It is FREE for parents and guardians.
SAFETY: Childcare providers use individualized wristbands for the child and parent/guardian as identification for drop-off and pick-up.
ACTIVITIES: Activities include arts, crafts, organized games, reading and music.
