The Landing in Crown Plaza Hotel New Orleans Airport

The system was down when I went to check in so they made me wait for a while just to be able to charge my card for the “incidentals” but then decided to let me go ahead and get to my room. The person who checked me in was very nice about all of it but I felt it a bit ridiculous to make me wait that long just to put a hold on my card. I know it’s hotel policy but after a long drive and telling them I only had a few hours to sleep before my flight they still made me sit and wait. Also the website advertised a restaurant and bar on site but I saw neither and there’s no coffee or breakfast in the mornings but if you just need a place to stay before a flight it’s definitely a good value. Just be prepared that you won’t have TV to watch and bring your own food and drinks Rooms: I had a king room. The TV did not work, the mattress definitely needed to be updated but the pillows are wonderful and the shower was perfect. No coffee pot or hair dryer in room so make sure you bring all your stuff because there’s very few amenities in the room Safety: It’s very close to the airport and the area seems like it could be a little shady at times but it’s well lit and once you are inside you feel safe. Food & drinks: There’s several fast food places located nearby and plenty of options if you choose to have food delivered to your room.

You will get what you pay for, with no exceptions. This is definitely a 3-star hotel bordering 2.5. The first room-temperature gauge was inoperable. I moved to a second room after sleeping in my clothes because it was too cold. The next room smelled unfreshed, and the mattress was too soft/used. No shuttle van to or from the airport, no laundry room service, and I went through three remotes to work the television in the first room. The front desk attendant could not print my receipt upon checking out until 3 am; don't have an early scheduled flight. Oh, the vending machine prices were too high; purchase your items before or after check-in at a grocery store. Rooms: Change used mattress

Great experience at a great price. Our flight was canceled and the clarion was thankfully the perfect choice. They even extended our checkout and provided a shuttle back to the airport. Incredible and very affordable place to stay.Rooms: 5/5
