The Laughing Owl Restaurant

My family and I went here on a week night and everything was SO GOOD!! Our waitress was nice and friendly. There was 6 of us and everyone was satisfied. The Scallops were really good. I emphasize those because I love Scallops and it is not hard to order a bad batch of them that are too small or not cooked with the right flavors but these were a nice size and tasted really good. We were all impressed by the cucumber salad on the side of our appetizers too! I didn't get pics of everything but as you can see, presentation is great and prices are no more than you should expect. As a native of Wayne County, I love the new vibe of Downtown Goldsboro and I hope to go back next time I am in NC. Parking: Parking is available close by and in front of the restaurant. The area has plenty of light and the walk is nice at night.

SO WORTH IT! My best friend and I dined here for her birthday dinner and we enjoyed our experience. I've heard good things about Laughing Owl and I was not disappointed. I ordered the Sweet Chili crispy chicken with fried rice and it also came with broccoli. I was very satisfied with it's taste and it was plentiful. For our appetizer we ordered Oysters Rockefeller and enjoyed it's bed of Cucumber salad. We also had Lemon Drop martinis. Everything was amazing. I will definitely be back.

mitzi was my son and I waitress. She was very pleasant and did everything right. The food was very delicious. I had a soft crab burger egg drop soup and for appetizers I had jumbo fried shrimp with shredded carrots cream cheese there was a mini salad that came with it and was so delicious. My son had the stuffed jalapeño that was also very good. He also had the dish with the shrimp and rice. I tasted it and Oh My God. I had a mimosa for my drink. The food is budget friendly and I will eat here again next time with my husband.

The Laughing Owl never disappoints but they go out of their way on special occasions! Valentines and the Hibachi Deluxe with Fried Cheesecake all I can say is wow!!! BonusDowntown Goldsboro is beautiful at night. The live music creates a great vibe

Dispite cliché entrée titles food was above average. Definitely a must visit and a top 10 in Goldsboro.

The menu is diverse and we love going when there's live music. We had 1 issue in the times we've gone. Mr. Peter P. himself came out of the kitchen on a very busy night to talk to my friend. He was nice, corrected the issue and we left very happy. We WILL be going back. Food is great! Music is awesome! And we will definitely support a hard working owner who does the right thing. Thank you so much.

Diamond was such a gem! She was such a sweet waitress and when a customer forgot a part of his order, she ran out to hand it to him. The plating was so beautiful and the food tasted amazing. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted fresh. I'm so glad I found this spot, my family loved it. They have indoor and outdoor seating as well. I got recommend this spot. Vegetarian options: Tofu and coconut milk options

Good option in Downtown Goldsboro. Highlights: - Food was fresh and delicious, though slightly over salted - Service was pleasant and attentive without hovering. - Very large place, seating was not a problem. Only minor issues: -imbalance in lettuce to chicken ratio - no silverware or napkins - tables & overall appearance is a bit shabby and could use a little refresh

This was my first time eating here. To start we tried an order of their Crab Rangoon. We had pepperoni pizza, and a house salad with blue cheese dressing. We had the chicken stir fry with fried rice and also the honey chicken with fried rice. The Crab Rangoon was nicely seasoned they were not to sweet with a mild onion flavor. The pizza was lightly sauced with a good amount of pepperoni and cheese the flavors blended well. The chicken stir fry has chicken mixed with peppers, onions, broccoli, mushrooms with a brown sauce. The sauce had a slightly stronger soy flavor to it but overall it was good. The honey chicken is nicely breaded like sweet and sour chicken and comes with a sweeter light brown sauce made with honey. I really liked the flavor of the sauce. Over all the staff was very friendly, the restaurant was clean and the food was good. The prices were around $15 a plate for the chicken dishes and the pizza was $10, the house salad was $5.50 and was a nice sized portion. The Crab Rangoon was $9.50 for 6 pieces which I think is a little high for the size they were. I would recommend this restaurant to others and I will be making another trip here soon.
