Michael is a 2005 graduate of the University of South Carolina School of Law where he was a member of the Mock Trial Team and Moot Court Bar, and was the recipient of the Clinical Professionalism Award for his work in the Criminal Trial Practice Clinic. After law school, Mike worked as a staff attorney and law clerk to the Honorable Paul Short at the South Carolina Court of Appeals. Mike then moved to Horry County to accept a position with the 15th Judicial Circuit Solicitor's Office. Prosecuting everything from DUI to Murder, Mike learned how to evaluate and try criminal cases. After nearly 4 years with the Prosecutor's office serving Horry and Georgetown Counties, Mike left to join one of South Carolina's largest law firms at Richardson, Plowden and Robinson. Only two years later, Mike established his own law firm to serve the people of Horry and Georgetown Counties with a unique business model that reduces overhead costs and allows him to pass those savings on to his clients in the form of lower legal fees. The majority of Mike's business is made up of DUI and DUAC defense, and he has handled hundreds such cases with optimal results. As a member of the American Association of Premier DUI Attorneys, Mike is one of your strongest options for DUI/DUAC defense. Mike resides in Conway, and his dog makes sure he remains active in animal rights issues and rescues.
