Cindy is incredible I’ve been a patient of hers for over 10 years. Cindy is compassionate, caring and understanding about my specific medical needs no matter what the task is she always takes it on with such grace and compassion. It’s rare to find a group of mental health professionals who provide such quality care.
The level of care is poor, neglectful and I feel like my mental health has deteriorated since going because of medication preferences ordered. Two appointments were canceled on me last minute, and I am being charged a “no show” fee for missing an appointment while on a family emergency phone call. This center is not a place for healing. It’s a place to profit off of you. Don’t go here.
Sarah K has zero empathy or bedside manner. I have yet to be prescribed anything that works for me after dozens of appointments, calls, and messages because she does not listen to anything any patient says to her. She is completely cold and doesn’t care if you say you’re suicidal or having a difficult time; she just ignores it, sighs at you, and moves on. She has no business working in mental health since she can’t be bothered to listen or care about her patients.
The receptionists are very rude and make you feel unwelcome. As someone with severe mental illness, getting attitude from the first person you see in a mental health facility made me feel much worse. They spelled my name wrong when I called to make the appointment so when I showed up, the receptionist was really snarky about me not being who I said I was. I scheduled an appointment to see a therapist and wasn’t told until I got there that the person I was scheduled with isn’t even a therapist! After barely any time of getting to know my history, this provider decided that my psychiatrist, who I’ve been seeing for 2 years, is wrong with my medications. I was extremely uncomfortable with how much they pushed me to do ketamine treatment even after saying multiple times that I didn’t want to do it. I can’t afford ketamine and I am genuinely fearful of doing it, but this provider did not listen to me and sent the prescriptions through. I will not be doing the ketamine and I will not be returning here. And the worst part? I didn’t even get to see the dog!
One of the common features of mentally ill patients is keeping up on their needs and seeking help ... routine. So what happens when you go past the year deadline of having an appointment with Peggy? She drops you as a patient without proper notice... then when you really need help it's like yelling up from the street on the rainy sidewalk to her closed window and seeing her close the curtains. Full on abandonment in your time of crisis. So tell me how this office with this policy and practices is actually helping me with my disability?
I CAN'T EVEN say enough good things! I feel that I am treated with kindness and respect- that doesn't always happen in mental health. I meet with Randi Hollis regularly and appreciate that she is direct and compassionate. It means SO much to me that someone especially my doctor cares about me enough to be honest like that, and not just tell me what I want to hear to get me out of the office. The receptionist can be hard to get on the phone- I just text when I can't get through and they always respond fast
I've been going to The Lotus Center for almost a year now, and this place has changed my life. The front desk have always been kind and welcoming, I love the therapy dog that roams around. But my providers, Peggy and Cindy, are what really made the difference. Truly caring people who know what they're doing, are willing to try multiple things with you, and will go to bat for you if need be. I'm beyond grateful for the help they've given me.
I can't love TLC enough! The moment you walk in the door, it's peaceful and calming and inviting. They have a roaming therapy dog who is extra calming. Getting an appointment is easy and they work with your schedule. My therapist listens to me and takes what I have to say seriously. Cost I perfect, and paying is easy. After switching insurances, I lost my long-time therapist. I then went through about four other places before I found the right price and the right feel. The Lotus Center is that place. You'll feel safe and helped at TLC. Definitely 5 *s.
Cindy is amazing and has helped me so much. She is not the type of doctor to just prescribe anything and kick you out the door. She tries to find the best match and monitors you closely. She is the sweetest! I can't wait till I can go into the office again!
The Lotus Center is great! Quality of services is top notch. Other reviewers have noted that The Lotus Center seems busy, but it’s undoubtedly due to how outstanding they are at what they do! You never see a long line for the lame rides at amusement parks.I improved more in a few months at The Lotus Center than in years and $$$$ spent elsewhere. Competent, insightful, relevant care for lasting change. The front desk ladies are kind and welcoming. The facility is well maintained and up to date. The complimentary yoga classes are wonderful too.
