I've been here twice and had a good experience both times. I LOVE their breakfast burrito - it's tasty and huge. Their Rueben sandwich was also good, but my cheeseburger was only okay - a bit messy and perhaps not as cooked as I would like. Our server was friendly but didn't ask my preference, and I forgot to mention it. The fries and onion rings made up for that though!

Very friendly staff and good food. My only complaint is that the wait time for our food was a bit long, about 20 ish minutes after we placed our order. But I still liked this place.

Best burger and fries I've had in Skagit county! My wife really enjoyed the biscuits and gravy as well! Highly recommend

I had a Ruben and my wife had the blt with avocado. I have to say I have had a lot of Ruben’s and this one is by far the best that I have had. The fries are all home made and let me tell you about the way they were cooked to perfection. Food came out steaming and then there is the homemade thousand island and the homemade sauerkraut. Then there is the wait staff that was friendly and very inviting.

I had their bacon cheeseburger, and yes, it is "only" a cheeseburger, but it was one of the best I've ever had, and it was more like having a burger to go with my bacon - it was loaded with bacon that was quite satisfying and yes, I could taste the beef, too. It was messy and sloppy as a really good, loaded burger usually is. I only wish that I was staying longer in the area so that I could return to try some more of their down-home offerings. Just as impressive is the staff working there. Every single person I encountered was super-friendly and hospitable. You can easily tell that the owner has made it imperative for all of his employees to treat their customers like they appreciate them. Even the cook/owner made it a point to ask how I was doing. If I lived in Mount Vernon I could see myself coming here on a regular basis.

Haven't been here in years but it was such a good trip down memory lane. Great staff good food.

Best little diner in old Mt. Vernon! Great omelets, eggs Benedict and thee freshest sandwiches for lunch! My new favorite local eats!Food: 5/5

Went here for brunch with my sister and was so relaxing and I had a breakfast omelette and she had a sandwich and customer service was amazing. Coffee was amazing and so is the food. Made me miss being a kid at home but I'm an adult but that cooking and environment reminded me of growing up.. was nice to find a place that can immediately get me to relax as soon as I walked in the door I was treated like family and I'm definitely going back.

The biscuits are homemade and go well with just about anything. Highly recommend getting the biscuits and gravy if you’re up for a hearty breakfast. The atmosphere has a classic Americana diner feel and the staff are incredibly warm and friendly. Great pancakes and bacon too. A no-none sense joint in all the best ways.

Been living in Mount Vernon for years and was told this place was good, well i can confirm. It's better then good, it's amazing food and amazing people. Had the jalapeno bacon burger and onion rings, to die for. It was a take out, but they have a big dining area. Highly recommend
