Major handled both of my parents passing with dignity and care. They were helpful with handling the cemetery and Major’s connections in the industry make the process easy so I could concentrate on what matters-Family. Thank you all and keep up the good work.
Lost my Brother Christopher M Smith on Monday of last week. Major Funeral home took great care of him. Mom and dad were absolutely pleased with his body and so am I. We’re From NC and my parents had to fly out to Texas to have his body flown back to the Carolinas. They said they had an amazing team comforting them while waiting to see Chris and getting arrangements set up! The Smith Family Thanks You!
Very professional from time they picked up my Dad John Otis Turntine Sr I want thank you Naomi for the great help and letting me know what was going on every step of the way you made me feel like Family and I been knowing you for a long time I can’t Thank you all enough Jennifer Turntine
I am EXTREMELY happy with this funeral home. They have helped my family with multiple deaths but the one that made the biggest difference when they made my Uncle look so fantastic that- you'd never known he was found dead days later. They were very professional; They explained every step so I would feel as If he wasn't alone and I am impressed with how well they handled my family each time. I am grateful for how they know we are all human and we need a little more than just the normal attention. They were very sympathetic and said if we ever needed anyone to talk to or just to hear our concerns. Naomie Lopez was so caring and helpful throughout everything, thanks to all of Major Funeral Home.
The Major funeral home was such a blessing for our family when a cousin of ours passed they did such a great job at making her look perfect. They made sure to keep us in the loop on everything that was going on. In such a hard time for our family they made this transition a little bit easier. That staff is beyond amazing. In such hard times I would highly recommend them to everyone I know.
Major Funeral Home and Staff, Thank you for the care and support and safety that our family received during such a difficult time "Covid". Mr. Major and his staff extended themselves beyond the normal duties of a funeral home to make certain that our family was comfortable with my late husband's services. We were very satisfied with the visual presentation of my husbands remains. Myra
Words cannot express how blessed I am to have chosen The Major Funeral Home to handle my brother’s arrangements. Ms. Cooper, the funeral director, made a particularly tragic loss much more bearable than it would have been otherwise. My brother was a homeless man, and I live six hours away from where his body was found. Unlike most people would, Ms. Cooper treated my brother as she would have the President of the United States - with dignity, respect and compassion. She showed sincere interest in his life, asking questions about him, and taking time to share in my grief and to offer words of encouragement. She is one of the most kindhearted, positive people I have ever met. Anyone can learn the ropes of running a funeral home, but it takes a special gift to do so with the love and respect that are clearly inherent in Ms. Cooper. As my daughter put it, “You can feel the blessings pouring from her.” The entire staff was competent, efficient and thorough, guiding me every step of the way and responding instantly to all inquiries and requests. I truly felt as though I had to worry about nothing, even though we had to make all arrangements from 6 hours away before I could pick up my brother’s remains. I don’t know if I could have done so without falling apart had it not been for the strength Ms. Cooper afforded me.
Major has a wonderful place. His staff treated mom like she was a Queen. I cannot recommend them enough. If you know the relationship I have with my mother you would know I would not make recommendations lighty.
My son passed away on the 27 of May. His dad wanted to use Major Funeral Home and that was a huge mistake on our part. The owner is very unprofessional and some of his practices are questionable. The ladies employed there was amazing surprising under that leadership. Ms. Shelia Halloway prepared my son's body and she did an amazing job. She was nice enough to keep the hair from my son to give to me for the book I wanted to make. Unfortunately, that didn't happen the day after the funeral Major tells me he had put the bag of hair in the casket and forgot to get it out so it was buried with him. May he needs to keep a to-do-list to keep things in order. On top of that, we ordered 200 obituaries that we didn't receive instead we ran out at the funeral. He took upon his self to make over 100 bookmarks with his funeral home information at the bottom. We could have gone without the unuseful bookmarks we rather would've had our obituaries for the ones attended the funeral. At the end of this unpleasant service when the death certificates came in he didn't have the decency to call us to tell us that they were in. I had to call him and he had an unpleasant attitude the entire time. I wouldn't recommend Major Funeral Home to no one it was a horrible experience. Also, If he wants to videotape you during a meeting make sure you find out if you would be receiving a copy as well.
How describe pure perfection The Major funeral home was the most careing professional staff I have ever met they put my mother to rest as the queen she was when I sat at her service and looked around I could see all the love and care that was given and to see the major heard my cry but he did and outstanding job i felt truly blessed as I sat at her service and looked at the most beautiful flowers you would ever see and I could only say well done my faithful servant a job well done thank you so much to the entire staff you made me feel truly blessed thank you thank you thank you.
