A small 2 screen cinema that seats more than you would expect due to its long and narrow design. You'll typically find the movies that are bordering on limited release, but they aren't necessarily obscure films. With the arm rests down a fat/obese person would have a pretty miserable experience here FYI. There is a single unisex bathroom at theater level and additional restrooms upstairs. The theater is located between a Thai restaurant and Panera bread. Don't expect to pay less here than at another theater. This theater has character.
This is intimate little theatre. It only plays two movies at a time, and while we were there they didn't seem to have any a/c. However the staff were very friendly and the theatre has a student gallery up top where the feature local artist for sale. Overall it's a darling little place to watch a movie.
Small two screen theater with no amenities like reserved seating. They play the same two movies for long stretches so it's hard to make it your go-to theater.
I am giving it 4 stars because of the movies they play, nobody else plays those, so it's literally needed. And the theater is clean and the chairs are comfortable. However, coming from one of the theaters with the recumbent large seats and relatively small spaces, where you can be rather close to the screen, I found it tough to find spot where I was comfortable, the screen seemed smaller.. once the movie started I forgot all about that though. If the movie engages you, you will be fine.
First time coming here, was not disappointed. Business seems very slow but it has a very nice vibe to it. Staff was very pleasant and nice to be around. Popcorn took a few minutes because they had to make it fresh, but made up for it by adding butter with each layer of popcorn without even asking I asked for butter. Overall, I'd really like to come back here for future movies.
Gotta love this old style theater. In an era of Metroplexes with reclining seats, latte bars, and make your own nachos, this tiny art house-type theater is a nostalgic breath of yesterday. Friendly staff, simple choices at the concession stand, restrooms with actual art, and the feel of a community theater. best of all are the films that are carried here. Though it's no longer an independent theater, they still select films that appeal to the more sophisticated film fan. So glad they've been able to stay in business despite all the competition from the big boys!
A theatre that always gives me a special feeling to be there. Its got character and is a unique experience compared to all of the other larger movie theatres. Plus, they play independent and original movies that you will never find at the big box theatres. It takes courage and integrity to play the game the way they do, and I will always respect that.
I really like this little movie theater. You have to know what to expect before you go. This isn't one of those fancy redone theaters with recliners. It's old and small, but it's one of a couple theaters in Charlotte that plays artsy movies. We went here for a movie before going to dinner at Deejai next door. There are only two theaters, so there isn't a big variety in what they play. I like that they haven't converted it to have recliners because there are more seats and you don't have to get there really early just to get a seat. The big downside to me is the lack of stadium seating. If you in the front 3/4 of the theater, you almost have to look up to be able to see. The back is at a slight incline which is good, but it is farther away than most movie theaters. It's a Regal theater, so you can expect the same prices as other theaters. I would come back here again!
Best theatre staff in Charlotte. Nice quiet lobby where u r not bombarded with ads everywhere . Good popcorn. Staff keeps auditoriums and rest rooms clean . Cleanest concession stand I've ever seen . Staff cares about the place and it shows . They care about patrons too . If you have never visited the Manor Theatre you are missing something special
Me and my friend saw The Peanut Butter Falcon here and it was great! I loved the movie, I highly recommend seeing it! I also loved the older style of this movie theater too, it was so fun!! You feel like you are back in time a little. I will see more movies here again!
