The Master's Closet is a fashionable clothing store located in Studebaker School in Huber Heights with the mission of providing a helping hand to students and others in our community with clothing at no charge.
In 2011, when noticing a student was wearing shorts in freezing weather and then finding that it was because he owned no pants to wear, it was placed upon my heart that I could do something about it and felt led to do something about it. The Master's Closet clothing ministry was formed.
In 2013, The Master's Closet relocated to Studebaker School in Huber Heights where we turned 4 once unused classrooms into 3 shopping stores and a sorting room. A middle school and high school shopping room was formed and named "The Locker".
Many students and others in our community have blessed by receiving nice, gently used clothing and shoes, including warm coats and accessories at no cost.
We believe that providing nice clothing to a child who would otherwise not be able to purchase decent school clothing builds his/her self esteem and, in turn, helps his/her overall performance in school.
Several girls have found beautiful dance dresses for homecoming and prom and were able to attend the dances where unforgettable memories are made without the worry of funds being spent on their dresses.
We have sustained families with clothing who have experienced life emergency situations such as the loss of employment, fire to their home, and emergency foster care placement.
Due to the continued support of our community through clothing donations, we have been able to keep this faith based ministry active in our community.
Thank you for taking the time to read about our ministry. Please contact me if you would like to join us by donating or volunteering.
Blessings,
Charlene
