I have been a customer of this pharmacy for several years. The pharmacist is compassionate, an expert in his field, and takes the time to explain and answer all of my questions about medications. It is such a pleasure doing business with this pharmacy; a complete contrast to doing business with large pharmacies that could really care less about their customers.
Rude Pharmacist David Brennan and a dishonest. He switched my ointment for a very painful abscess because he said he didn't have ingredients to compound it. He told me he would call supplier to get correct dosage but instead he called the Doctor to change the prescription to what he had in stock. what he had was not correct but lower and could have that in 10 minutes. I said lets go with what is on the prescription as the prescribing doctors office was already closed Said he wouldn't have it until next day so I waited overnight with the pain. when I called to check on the prescription I was treated very rudely by Amber. She had no answers and that she would have the Pharmacist call back in 20 min when he got back from lunch. He never called but I called him back as he never called me. he said there is nothing he could do as he already called the doctors office and left a message to change the script. Amber incidentally told David I raised my voice to her her which I have not done. David never got correct dosage for relief for an ointment to help with the pain. Instead he said he did me a favor and hollered at me and said he regrets doing me a favor and to leave the store. He was caught in a lie and was very disrespectful. He filled the prescription with what he had in stock and not what the Dr. prescribed. He made a hand gesture to shoe me out of the store like a pest fly. There was a nice lady that worked there I'm guessing Mrs Patel who witnessed the whole thing and apologized. Very sweet lady but the grumpy old man pharmacist did such damage with his rudeness and lie that I tell everyone never go there!
The pharmacist was very helpful and friendly. Nice to have a more personalized experience than with chain drug stores.
I cannot believe the treatment I received here from the man. He was quite hostile to me I was a new customer who selected this store as I prefer to help small businesses who because of a tiny misunderstanding argued with me or I should say lectured me, as I only interrupted him to try to tell him we were having a misunderstanding and my goodness, when I interrupted him he behaved so aggressively and disrespectfully, it truly made me wonder if this man is either mentally challenged or if this man is having a really bad day, the worst of his life, and he is taking it off on customers. Otherwise if this is who he is as a person, he should not be allowed to run a business he would be better suited as a prison guard. I left the store crying in my car because he made me feel like some drug addict and all I was getting was my anti anxiety medication, only to leave the store and have to sit in my car for 15-20 minutes waiting for my heart to slow down from the anxiety attack I had because of how he treated me. Unbelievable.. Truly.
It's turned out to have been a very good idea to switch from big pharmacies to the Medicine Shoppe. I've been a customer there almost 2 years now and really couldn't be more pleased. Don't judge the place by the expensive stuff on the shelves, the prescriptions are not more expensive here. I surely thought that prescriptions would be lots more costly than CVS or Walmart, but they're the same and in some cases even a little less. My kids are taken with the mints in the bag every time too. Plus, they know my name! that never happened at Walmart!
Congenial atmosphere. They are a "compounding pharmacy" but could not compound my medication. They did recommend a different pharmacy which was hard to find.
So far so good. My wife and I are trying to have a baby and need to be on progesterone suppositories. Since we need them compounded we tried here long story short, CVS bought up a bunch of small pharmacies by where we live so I checked here since it's 20 miles away. The progesterone is significantly cheaper here $75 for 60 capsules, vs $200 for 60 capsules; but they aren't individually wrapped so we have to carry the whole bottle with us when we travel around the Bay Area. Not a huge deal, just something I noticed. We also found out they do a bulk price of 90 capsules for around $100! Way cheaper! So I am happy with that.
Horrible pharmacy they are the worse they never have my script ready they even mixed up my medication with someone else’s highly don’t suggest this place
