The library is in a beautiful location with a lot of natural light; the library has many rooms. I went a couple of times to try to study there, but the old ladies working at the front desk speak all the time, and they speak too loud. It is a lack of respect for people trying to read or study.
Plenty of parking. Easy returns. Good networking with other libraries in NJ. You can order online and pickup books and materials. Very fast service. Not very crowded these days. You can buy coffee . Have chess club, Lego club and reubics cube club. Bunch of reading activities.
My family and I just moved to Flanders. So this is our public library. It’s beautiful. It’s cozy and warm. I enjoyed it. I went in there for the first time today, it was mainly for a baby and me class. My baby Leo 12.5 months enjoyed it. Not sure who enjoyed it more, him or me? The front desk worker librarian was so kind and polite. The teacher was very nice and warm. So was the parent we met and her beautiful daughter. Love this library. Will be going in for more child activities and read time for me.
The library is quite and looks nice. I really like it. However, once I opened the card a year ago, I was returning my first book and noticed that the ladies in the front desk were looking at my account and when I asked one of them what is wrong, she said it is showing a comment that means something wrong with the book. Maybe it’s ripped. I laughed and they were talking together because it doesn’t make sense. Then yesterday when I wanted to borrow a book a lady told me that my account was suspended because I haven’t returned a book to the library as it lost. So they put a fine on my account for $35. However, they charged me 40 cents for returning the same book late I supposed to return it on 8/13 and I returned on 8/17 this year. That means I returned it, and there was 40 cents fine. And that’s true. “a few days after I wanted to pay with the credit card and the lady in the front desk said when you have coins, you can pay”. Today, I talked to the supervisor about the cost replacement which was $35, explained to her and after long conversation, she said I will look around and call you back. Then she called and said, we didn’t find it, but never mind and the fine will be dropped. She canceled 40 cents and $35. At the end, I asked her to cancel this card account. She said it’s not like bank account. You can stop using it. But I’m worried about blaming me or charging me something else on this account.
This library is great. Kristin is awesome in the children's section and she still makes the library enjoyable but keep it safe and the kids conscious of their hygiene and touching the books. The programs they offer are phenomenal as well. Love this place!
The library is large and well lit. The adult and children's sections are separate so you can get some peace and quiet on the adult side. They have plenty of seating. The children's library staff is kind and helpful. My children love coming to the library. They have a computer with educational children's games, a Lego duplo table and a doll house to keep the little ones occupied. They have a wide variety of children's books and programs.
I always find what I need and the staff is courteous and helpful.
Many have touted this library's splendor, and I can't help but to agree. The single-floored building is designed with accessibility in mind with walkways and driveways. They have a shared card catalog with the county community college with a larger network of libraries to import books from. My favorite part is the airy periodically section with plenty of well layedout magazines and newspapers, all up to date.
It was lovely. We attended a lecture regarding birds of prey from Raptoe trust. Bill wheeler, the presenter, was terrific. The birds were amazing.
