Very interesting secret place. Visit if you're having a SOHO walking tour

They check your vax card, thank you! This is a lovely place to escape the city noise and energy. It is grounding and a reminder to stay grounded amidst the chaos. Thank you for those who tend to this! No pics, respecting the artists work.

Today I went to see the gallery and it was for some reason freaky I freaked out because of how weird the exhibit is I stay for a few minutes and I don’t am speechless because it’s just so weirddon’t criticize me art lovers I’m basing this on my experience

Don't expect a lot coming here but it is certainly something quirky that you can be sure not everyone you know who has visited New York has seen. It is what it says on the tin, no pictures allowed.  Not open every day so check in advance.  Basically you buzz a door at the address for the Earth room and someone let's you in. You climb a flight is stairs and it's there.  The area surrounding is nice, so on a warm day go down and check out the surrounding boutiques.

There was a lot of Earth, would recommend.

Clean atmosphere to settle your thoughts and meditate. Found the smell of soil to be relaxing and your senses are calmed here. Would definitely recommend this place to those who need time to themselves for a bit. Oh and no pictures can be taken here courtsey for the artist's work.

Good place to watch sports

The Earth Room is an interesting installation by the artist Walter De Maria. It is essentially a room filled with raked soil. Photography is prohibited. Its interesting how this piece of art can reveal unique perspectives of the viewer. For example, I found it unsettling that 'earth' was trapped inside the confines of a room but a friend found the sight of raked soil comforting!

I guess this is art too. A second floor Manhattan loft completely filled with earth two feet high. You walk in, stand and look, say to yourself "what the h...., and walk out. Then you start contemplating on what you saw and experienced.  You take something away with you for sure.  If you are in the vicinity, go take a look.

The smell is everything. It's a transcendent journey to step off the busy streets of Soho into this quiet, natural nook. The gallerists are awesome and very welcoming too!
