Stayed here for 5 months. Not one problem. Tabitha the GM is awesome, super nice and helpful. Will stay here again if in the areaRooms: 5/5
Needed a place to park my travel trailer after moving for a new job. The staff was extremely accommodating when trying to get me a spot after calling at least 10 other places. While the other places I called were cheaper...the little bit extra I laid for staying here was well worth it. The facilities are in excellent shape and you will always see the employees around the park maintaining it and talking with residents. The communication was top notch. I have been here since a week after the snow and ice storm, and the park has been very good about notifying people here about things being repaired! If I needed another long term stay I would do anything to get a spot here again!
Rented a small cabin off of them. Worked with friendly people but they weren’t very quick to act. Didn’t give me 100% of my deposit back and I left the place better than I found it. Maybe it was because their porch was falling apart, but I didn’t do anything to damage it.
When I was looking at RV Parks for extended stay, I was searching for clean, quiet, and safe. I found that here, along with owners who live on site and genuinely care about their guests. The laundry room is nice and there’s a bathhouse that is cleaned regularly. Both buildings are climate controlled and that’s really nice in extreme temperatures. There’s also propane available to buy here. So convenient! This park is pet friendly and a great place to stay.
We stayed at The Oaks when we first came to Texas, and stayed here a year or so. The park is generally very quiet and neighbors were great. The high school was not a problem for us, most of the time we couldn't hear a thing from over there. Even football season wasn't a big problem for us. The school was under rules to have events finished by a certain time and for the most part, were very good about that. The owners were very kind and accommodating. They were always out on the property working on it. Rental statements and other notices were hand delivered, which we really liked. There is no pool or amenities of that kind, but there is a laundry and a shower/bath facility that is very nice. We liked that the park feels very safe and secluded. It's worth the drive to either Bastrop or Austin to be out here in the country. If you are looking for a place that entertains you or your children, this is not the place. If you are looking for a place with tons of events and amenities, this is not the place. If you are looking for nice, well-kept, quiet and/or long term, a place to stay while working in the area and owners that are on the property and are wonderful, then this is definitely the place!
I was a long-term tenant, from July 23, 2016, until March 31, 2018, and really enjoyed living here. I had long-term neighbors on one side of me, neighbors on my other side would come and go, and everyone was friendly. Jami and Larry, who live on-site, are wonderful owners! Being able to pay online and the text messages for mail at the office or park alerts were truly convenient. The park is set-back from Hwy 71, which give the tenants some privacy, quiet, clean, and well maintained. I highly recommend The Oaks RV Park!
We Stayed from July 13-17 at The Oaks. Cute campground. Appears that they are upgrading gradually. There seemed to be a sewage smell issue in back of the park, however, we were not staying in that part, so we only caught a hint of it while walking the dog. The facilities are nice, bathhouses nice and clean.Plenty of room on the site, and site parking was plentiful as we were visiting family and there was plenty of space for parking when we had company on site. There are no picnic tables on the sites, but has a really lovely picnic pavilion. Normally, I would've given 3 stars because of the picnic table, but here's the kick...The owners are so kind and amenable it makes it worth the stay in every way! They treated us as if we were their family from the jump. Very kind! Worth the stay in every way! I will be back.
This is the first RV Park I’ve stayed in. I’ve been here almost two years as an extended stay guest. I had the pleasure of getting to know the owners, Larry and Jami Haney. They have truly treated us like family, and have always given personable service, going above and beyond. As they move on to bigger adventures, I want to personally thank them for putting their hearts into this park. It started from nothing eight years ago, and they put in so much blood, sweat and tears. I’m thrilled they now get to enjoy the fruits of their hard labor. I wish them nothing but the best! A new era will begin with this park , and I look forward to continuing to be a part of it! May God bless you always, Jami and Larry!
This park is nestled back off the high way so it's really quiet. The owners are extremely helpful and really do go out of their way to make your stay here feel very homey! The public showers/restrooms are clean and updated. The laundry facility is also kept really clean and the machines are cheap. I would recommend this place to any and everyone. I love it!
Firstly, I would like to talk about the tenants and owners at The Oaks RV Park. Friendly doesn't quite suffice. The morning I arrived I was welcomed to the park by not only the owners, but many tenants as well; genuinely nice people that made me feel right at home during my extended visit. When dealing with business matters, the owners invited my into their house and were extremely easy to talk to and were always pleasant. Second to the amiable residents were the facilities. The bath houses are well decorated, always clean, extremely modern, and there are four of them that hold up to the highest expectations. I assure you these bath houses are more than likely nicer than your bathrooms at home! The complex also has its own washer/dryer room with several units. This room is, again, well decorated with many books and a desk for one to work at if they choose to wait for their laundry, or even just a nice working area if need be. The fire pit/social area of the park was also an excellent accommodation. Great people, great environment; I'll certainly be back next time I'm in the Austin/Bastrop area, and I'd definitely recommend it to anyone doing the same.
