This hidden gem is absolutely fantastic. We found this place because they were one of the few restaurants still open for dinner and we have never been impressed with the Pelican Brewing food. Thank goodness we did, everything was delicious and the bartender Mandy was amazing. I swear the best darn clam chowder on the coast, and we've tried quite a few. The crab cocktail was so delicious and my boyfriend had the chimchurri steak and it was to die for. Do not miss this place on the coast, worth the drive no matter where you're staying!
Super tasteful comfy cozy atmosphere. Ms Mandy at the bar made us killer cocktails and was super helpful with other questions we had about town. Food was delicious and beautifully plated. My wife was very excited about keno and the little lottery game room in the back. Pet friendly patio as well!Food: 5/5
Craft cocktails, excellent salad options like this Burrata and Chicken salad with fresh blackberries and toasted pinenuts, very friendly service. I also recommend the steak salad, the seafood Louie, the crispy fish tacos, the Korean Burger made with gochujang and a kimchi slaw and the calamari fries. You can’t go wrong here. The deck is nice on good weather days.
We had a great time and really enjoyed our food. The staff is super attentive and friendly. We were greeted immediately upon arrival and seated right away. There is a full bar with a beautiful wood counter, lots of indoor seating and a fantastic outdoor seating area. The patio is beautifully decorated with flowerpots and has a really sturdy roof, heaters and a fireplace so it would be cozy year round, no matter the weather. The food was incredibly tasty. They were out of the Reuben so I opted for fish tacos with a side of clam chowder. The chowder was perfect! I ate every bite. I enjoyed the fish tacos as well, mango salsa is always a win for me. My bf had the tuna melt and he loved it! He said there was really good flavor in the tuna. Another nice touch was the cloth napkin and heavy silverware, definitely takes it up a notch. There is a diaper changing table in the ladies restroom but unfortunately not in the men’s room so dad’s will have to figure something out. Will definitely eat here again when we’re in the area.
Always great food & great service! Favorite restaurant on the coast. So many menu choices, I recommend Steak Chimichurri, Pork Shank & Fettuccine Food: 5/5
Loved scallops on fried green tomatoes, delicious clam chowder, coconut shrimp! Apple cider was really good too! Great selection. The atmosphere was awesome too..we sat on patio. Like they had Ac/DC pinball and another one. Nice big bar. Fish n chips ok..kinda bland really... only thing that wasn't amazing. Highly recommend. Terrific service
Really amazing for what I expected Lobster Mac and cheese - the perfect amount of cheese - not seafoody - liked the bacon - the cheese was creamy - the garlic bread was good too, think Texas toast Peno burger - spicy, but not overly though, I could taste a hint of spice - was a really good burger - I specifically adored the jojo's Corn chowder - a little watery - wish it had more flavor
Great food, wanted different food but they were out. Loved their drinks!! Great service!! Very personable waitress. Loved the atmosphere and heat source outside.Food: 5/5
All I can say is what a gem this place is. After a two and a half hour drive, my family and I were starving and found Oar House. Service was spot on, kind courteous and attentive. The food was truly one of the best meals we had in Pacific City. The scallops were perfectly cooked, the clam chowder is phenomenal, and their clams were fresh in the most delicious butter sauce. Counting down the days to get to visit again.
It was better 2 years ago. It's still good. We had the Wedge Salad, and the wedge was too big. It tasted very good. The garlic bread was great!Food: 4/5
