The Ohio State University Nisonger Center was founded in 1966, among the first group of federally funded University Centers for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities. We are widely respected for our interdisciplinary research, education and clinical services. The Nisonger Center is proud to be part of The Ohio State University Medical Center and Office of Health Sciences. We have a strong and dynamic team of researchers, clinicians, teachers, staff and trainees who strive to improve the lives of persons with disabilities and their families across the lifespan.
The mission of The Ohio State University Nisonger Center is to work with communities to value and support the meaningful participation of people with disabilities of all ages through education, service and research. The Center provides assistance to people with disabilities, families, service providers and organizations to promote inclusion in education, health, employment and community settings.
