If you are a history buff like me, and you happen to be in Columbus - do yourself a favor and visit. Ohio Village is included in the admission to the museum, and the town is laid out fully for you to examine and explore at your own pace - with assistance from staff who act out as if they’re currently living in the 1800’s, answering questions you may have and giving you lots of general information. We came late in the day and when some of the staff were on vacation, but the people who were still there were very enthusiastic and seemed happy to show us around. We didn’t have time to explore everything but we saw what we could in the hour we were there. I had a great time and would definitely go back. It’s such a neat little trip back into history.
An absolutely amazing place for adults and kids. I highly recommend it. The village is beautifully done.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYesPrice for adult entry$16–20
I really liked the village better than the indoor history canter. It is August and hot with high humidity, so going in most of these old buildings you have to be prepared for no heat or air flow..They all are set up wonderfully to depict the time period. The people that work in each building are fabulous at staying in character. My favorite was an older black lady in the Murphy house. She was a great actress and was also really funny. There is a Emporium that sells some gifts and is a candy store. Some of the candies I remember eating as a kid 40 years ago. Brought back some fun childhood memories. The church had beautiful stain glass windows and the hotel air conditioned had a tiger with an interesting story.
This was my first time visiting the Ohio village! I had no idea this existed until earlier this year, so I had anxiously been waiting for it to reopen. This was a 10/10 fun to spend a Saturday, kudos to all the employeesVisited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Ohio Village is always a great place to visit. It's truly like a step into the 1890s. You can buy candy at the candy shoppe and talk to the town journalist. So much fun!Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$11–15
This place is awesome! all the NPCs are so friendly and nice. I had lots of questions and they answer perfectly. They know their roles and act well in this small village set up. I want to give them more money to support this place.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$16–20
Went to All Hallows Eve event and it did not disappoint. Such a great time!
We have been to the All Hallows Eve event several times before covid. Went tonight and still my family had a good time. The food stands were really good but prices were crazy. It says it's wheelchair accessable. Well that was proved wrong tonight. My 12 yr old has a hard time walking around due to health issues, so we took her wheelchair. I had a very hard time pushing her around in the gravel and almost all of the ramps I had to make her stand up to get her chair over the bumps. We got to watch the telling of Sleepy Hollow. I remember it be a lot better in the past years. All in all the kids still enjoyed it.
My family went for the all hallows eve event and it was very busy. I could tell it was geared toward younger audiences in some parts. The lights were on at a stadium nearby so there wasn't really that dark. The retelling of the legend of sleepy hallow was the main event and was very good. Actors were there and riding horses, including the headless horseman.
Had our wedding here and it is the best venue ever! Loved the church, reception space and the coordinators made our day stress free. They were great to work with and so kind! An affordable venue with character.
