Tuesday~Six Jumbo Shrimp (Choice of Deep Fried, Broiled, Scampi and maybe even grilled if you ask nice!) for $12.99
OR 12 ounce Iowa Chop for $10.99

Wednesday~Half Broasted Chicken $10.99 (this is the original Broaster Broasted Chicken....add $1 for all white meat.)

Thursday~Baby Back Ribs (These fall off the bone because they are so tender!) Half Rack for $13.99, Full Rack for $17.99

Friday~Icelandic Cod (Choice of Deep Fried in our Beer Batter or Broiled in Butter)
2 pc fried is $10.99, 3 pc fried is $11.99, 4 pc fried is $12.99 or about 8 ounce serving of broiled Icelandic Cod for $12.99

Saturday~Prime Rib 10 oz for $14.99, 14 oz for $17.99, or 20 oz for $23.99. You can also add 3 of our Jumbo Shrimp for just $5.99 more. If you leave hungry it is your own fault!


Wednesday has a lunch special of hot beef with mashed potatoes and gravy.
Friday 2 pc of fried Cod with fries and slaw.

Please feel free to call ahead for groups of 6 or more so that we can have a table ready for you! That also helps you not have to wait if we are busy. Group reservations have priority seating over walk-in groups :)

We almost went elsewhere but read that place's reviews directing us to come here... good save! Our group is staying at the Decorah High Point Cabins for the weekend looking for local flavor. Boy, did we find it at the Old Rossville Store! From steaks to chicken to the Friday night cod it was all cooked and served to delicious perfection! My husband's pork tenderloin was the only low point of the meal because it appeared to have come straight out of the freezer into the fryer leaving him with broasted cod envy but other than that we couldn't find fault. The food, service, atmosphere, and price easily make this the best meal anyone in our group has enjoyed in years. Thank you!
I really enjoy a place that has the Old Supper Club feel. The Old Rossville has that exact feeling. A good Salad Bar is a must and they don't disappoint !! They even had my favorite..a large bowl of Pickled Herring ! My Prime Rib was cooked perfectly and I just needed to add a little Garlic Salt and my beloved Black Pepper and it was golden !! For just $6 more I got three deep fried Jumbo Shrimp. All this at a extremely reasonable price. Definitely zero room for dessert.
Largest fresh salad bar anywhere. Kudos to the chef, prime rib grilled and plated to perfection! Our waitress and server Derinda, was most friendly, engaging and accommodating as well as the entire staff. Must get there early as their great reputation fills the restaurant fast. Small town charm. Great food at an honest price. Didn't know that 90% of the old fashions they sell are with brandy.Well be back! Oh...and pickled Herring on the salad bar.Food: 5/5
OMG, the Prime Rib and Shrimp Dinner is to die for! Make sure you ask to have cut horseradish with your dinner! Josh and his crew does a great job, even in these times of Covid.

Love this place Down home cooking Eat there when we go to Iowa and visit our friends on the Mississippi Not a fancy restaurant but service is always friendly and I'm sure that they know alot of their returning customers names
Been coming to the Decorah/Highlandville area for 20+ years for fishing, camping and hunting getaways. Was googling to find something different for dinner tonight. Found this gem and decided to give it a try. Service and food were exceptional! We will return!
The prime rib special was excellent! The atmosphere is very small town casual and the wait staff was incredibly friendly. They have a very nice little salad bar that comes with most meals, it has your normal fixings of potato and pasta salads, lettuce with various toppings and dressings, and two different kinds of soup. I got a baked potato as my vegetable of choice and it was cooked perfectly. The prime rib was seasoned quite well, had good flavor, and was served with au jus. A very good experience!
