July 2023: Bought some pies for myself and the parents. June 2023: First visit to The Pie Guy and will not be my last. The Brumble Berry, the Apple, and the Peach pies were delicious. The crust is delectably thin, sweet, and crispy. The filling is mouth watering and juicy; each fruit/berry can be tasted.
I don’t think you can get a better pie! I’ve been a long term Pie Guy fan. The family is always so kind! The pie crust is always perfect, and they don’t cheap you out in filling!!!! Sometimes you get a pie and there isn’t enough filling… that is NEVER the case with The Pie Guy!! I normally pickup their pies at the farmers market or at their pop-up stand they have occasionally, but I got a pregnancy craving late last night and sent in a custom order for a large coconut and a large banana cream pie. They messaged me in the morning saying they were ready for pickup! So quick! I think the price is so reasonable for what you get, you’re supporting a local business, and let’s not forget the important part… the taste is amazing! I can’t rave about them enough!! Even my fiancé who hates pie has admitted to liking their pies! I will most definitely be ordering pies for my wedding and baby shower!! I will support them as often as I can. Thank you again, Bart and his amazing family!!
Absolutely delicious, had a custom order for my wedding and they were super easy to work with, affordable and delicious everyone kept talking about the lemon cream pie. I personally loved the pecan pie.
Found it! pulled up to the cutest little pie house. The note said due to theft the pies have been moved to the the front porch. While there I got a glimpse of a pies being placed in the fridge pull into the next driveway, and boom easy peasy. The fridge was full and we were happy to find that Pie Guy lived up to the hype. picked up razzleberry, coconut, and chocolate pies. The razzleberry were still warm. Yay!!! Wanna take a scenic drive, find some treats, support a local business by giving PieGuy a try. “Experience a local delicacy”
Wow, this place is amazing! To me, the baseline indicator of a great desert is “not too sweet”. Oftentimes, pecan pies from other places are so tooth-hurtingly sweet and pretty much all you taste is pain, but this place has pecan pies that let the pecans do the talking. The crust was still flaky and crumbly when we brought it home - amazing! The lady there was so sweet. We pulled up and I’m guessing we were the first there so when she saw us, she brought out more pies that were fresh out of the oven. My wife immediately fell in love with the Brambleberry pie. The crumble on the top was so crunchy and flavorful even after driving around for an hour! This place runs on a cash honor system, but they also accept Venmo. Support your local business and make the effort to drop by this area - you won’t regret it!
Ordered my pies via text back in October, to take to Thanksgiving in California. Bart was so nice. I am amazed with his honor system in this day and age. He had them ready exactly when promised, about 5 days before Thanksgiving. Froze them for the 10hr trip and to make sure they would not spoil til Thanksgiving. I was a little nervous about that, but it was fine. They were delicious and the crust was not affected at all. By the way, that crust is amazing. My daughter compares it to a shortbread cookie and I agree. I usually eat only the filling in store bought pies, but with these ones, not a crumb was left in the pans!! I got the pumpkin, that was eaten up 2 days before Thanksgiving and Apple and Razzle. I love all but Razzle berry is my favorite. I need to try Pecan next! Can't wait for Christmas!
This is my new favorite stop on the way to the beach. The pie is fantastic. The tartness of the berries balanced with the sweet and buttery taste of the crust. They even take Venmo!
Bart made some pre-ordered pies for us and had them all set up and ready in the self-serve stand for our pickup. He was quick to correspond and coordinate. It really was a lovely experience and we look forward to having him make the pies for our wedding this summer! Take the trip out to his stand - it's a beautiful area and experience.
Went out today for the first time. Picked up razzleberry, Marion berry, and brumbleberry. Rang the doorbell so I could meet the baker, but no one came to the door. Paid extra for a tip because times are hard for everyone. The pies are fantastic. Tart in the middle, sweet and buttery on top with flaky crust. Just yummy. Will be out there again for sure.
Seriously, the BEST pies! Amazing customer service. My husband really wanted the Razzleberry pie for his birthday. The Pie Guy was about an hour away at another farmer's market, but answered my call and let me know how I could pick up the pie at his home and what time. Its really important to support local small businesses. This one makes it so easy to do so. Delicious goods and such friendly service.
