The Pilgrimage: IZWE LA BASHA (Voice of the Young) is a journey to Ghana, Liberia, Senegal, C'otvoire, Nigeria, Ethiopia South Africa, ISREAL & Palestine
join us JULY 2015 IN GHANA LIBERIA NIGERIA COTEVOIRE, SENEGAL, THE GAMBIA, ETHIOPIA, SOUTH AFRICA, BOTSWANA ISREAL AND PAELSTINE WITH DR. CORNELL WEST AND RABI MICHAEL LERNER.
We are looking for African American youth ages 9-15 years of age to go on this trip. They will be enrolled in and will receive college credit from UW MADISON (6credits) a class, called SOUL JOURNEY. We will travel and learn together about the middle passage, slavery, the civil rights movement, hip hop and African Native Americans. The trip will be subsidized and the young person can bring one sibling and one parent overseas.
