This is a small country campground. The staff are extremely helpful and will even help back you in. The sites were large, and we had a little block behind us, which was very relaxing to listen to. For the most part everything was quiet. This is a very basic campground with a little bit of quirkiness. The pool was nice and clean and the folks who work there go all out to make you feel comfortable. Do not come here expecting a fancy campground. This is old school country camping at a nice price we loved it! We wish we could’ve stayed the whole week, but unfortunately we already paid for another place that wasn’t as nice as The Pines
This place is so creepy !! There were no other campers. It seems that the people that stay there live there... sometimes you can't find anyone who works there and there's a creepy witch lady who walks around giggling and waving. They messed up booking our site probably because the lady who books your trip doesn't sit in front of a computer she just sits by the pool and answers the phone at her own convenience. Also the campground map looks nothing like the campground.. and it's a joke to empty your RV. The showers give creepy camera vibes.. we will not go back ever again !
This was my first time at this "campground" for my annual friends camping trip and will also be my last.. our campsites were covered with poison Ivy and also pretty swampy, their facilities were either broken down or dirty with no soap or hand sanitizer in the bathrooms or outhouses. And to top all of that the owners let their dog roam freely, and I didn't realize this until I was on a walk with my dog and their dog walked cautiously and aggressively towards mine and there was no one around to get him.. im just glad my dog and I got out of the situation unharmed. Moral of the story is go literally anywhere else, don't waste your money here.
It's been about 20 years since I've stayed there, but am hoping to finally get back there this summer for a week, or so, but about 20 yrs ago I stayed there for 5-6 months. We had a trailer, and had the site at the top of the stairs by the office, just a short walk to the pool. I stayed there with my husband at the time, and our 3 yr old daughter, & 5 yr old son. The kids absolutely loved it there, and routinely had events specifically for kids. My staying there ended up bein a major factor in the course of my life. After the months of staying there we ended up buying a Campground of our own in Warren NH, and we ran it the same way Paul runs the Pines. We learned so much from watching him. Paul, his lovely family, Their campground, changed the course of my life, an even though i have since sold my campground, I am forever grateful to Paul, and his family, and for my stay at the pines.
This is definitely off the beaten bath and rugged. This is no KOA, so don't go here if that's what you're looking for. Behind our site was a beautiful stream/river with small falls. We loved it! People were friendly too!
place was dirty, people were a little strange, pool was all grown up, bathrooms were nasty and old, store was musty. would never come back. the good reviews are lying
This is a great place to come with your family and everyone that works here are so nice and friendly the pool is great to.Service: 5/5
I just had the pleasure of my first stay at The Pines this past weekend and I already booked my next long weekend! I walked up to check in and was greeted by the chillest dog I’ve ever seen and a gang of kids that were absolute sweethearts. The owners were all absolutely amazing and super helpful with anything we needed and any questions we had including showing me our campsite twice because I couldn’t believe we had the amount of space that we did. Make sure when you come you get to hear a bit of Paul’s stand up comedy because he’s a riot and possibly the best tour guide I’ve ever had for anything. He’ll show you everything from his radio collection to the old school high chair he actually used with his kids and it was amazing. 10/10 would recommend this campground if you want to feel like part of the squad when you take a walk around this small but adorable spot.
A good campsite. The staff was friendly courteous, knowledgeable of the site and area in general , And Very helpful always. Especially “ Duggy” you can’t miss this dude he’s usually the tallest living entity on the horizon! With a quick smile and a booming voice , you’ll hear him even when you don’t actually se him! “Take it SLOW “ …. there’s a 5mph speed limit inside the camp
Truly a blessing to find this Campground! The staff each and every one of them are incredibly kind, understanding and accommodating. The views from this site are truly beautiful! With a very well maintained property. Location for 'myself' has been somewhat challenging, but, again that's for myself. I work an hour and 19m away... However, I gladly make the commute as I truly love it here I strongly urge, if your considering staying here, do! You won't regret it. Prices are fairly reasonable, you have full hook-ups with many amenities when in season laundry facility on site, clean bathrooms and also a shower if you so choose to not use your own, or are tenting vs RV'ing. Oh and can't forget the beautiful brook that runs along the backside of a row of campers that you can hear which just adds to the beauty and tranquility of The Pines. Thank you kindly, Pines for providing such a beautiful place for us lucky enough to stay!
