The Pit is an outdoor basketball court built by Mark and Jodie Giesy in the summer of 2000. The court was built when Bristol schools added on to the existing school and tore out the only outdoor court with no plans of building a new one. In 2003, Mark and Craig Giesy started a summer camp at the court and have held a camp each summer since.
