The Pool Doctor of OKC came out to open our pool around April 14th. They sent an employee named Travis to complete this service. Our typical pool technician was not available. We always request that our pool be made swim ready. We went out to look at the pool after Travis opened it and saw that there is sand all over the bottom of the pool. We went a couple of days debating whether or not it was algae that settled to the bottom of the pool or sand. We called Delmar our usual technician personally and he advised us that it was sand, that the sand filter was broken, and we needed to vacuum it out. We did that and called the Pool Doctor to advise them that the sand filter was broken. They sent Travis back out to repair our filter. He called my husband when he was here to complete the service, but he was at work and couldn't leave. He asked him "before starting, how much is this going to cost us?" To which he replied "I don't know, the front office will contact you." We allowed him to complete the service, but no one ever contacted us. We just saw a $1500 bill come in the mail. We called and let Wendy I believe know that we would not be paying on it until Travis called us and explained what the $1500 charge was, but he never called. We have been customers for over 10 years so we still began to make payments on the amount. We paid $500 May 17th and $300 June 9th while still awaiting a phone call. We then received a bill that said that we were being charged finance charges and put on a 90 day schedule. We call to see why we hadn't received a call from Travis and that we needed a call from him immediately. He never called so we called back asking to speak to the owner. The owner, Dustin, said he was not interested in talking, and for us to just take them to court. Wendy hung up in our faces after telling us what Dustin said. We called back to try to resolve it without taking legal action. We were still willing to pay the remaining balance if the pool was made swim ready, but they insisted that they would have to charge us. Wendy eventually hung up in our faces AGAIN. My husband called and left a voice message communicating that if we can't resolve the issue, we would need an itemized invoice of all services completed at our home. We are awaiting a response with very little expectation.
I called them to repair my pool cover which collapsed from the rain when the pool was empty so John came and fixed it and he said it is ready but he can’t close it until the pool was full and it would take 10-15 minutes, just to call him when the pool was full. The charge was $1750.00, which I paid the same day. It was winter so after few months when I filled the pool I called them 2-3 times every week for more than 4 months, nobody called me back. After five months of calling and nobody came to see the pool cover, they told me that my pool mechanism is old and I need a new one and they gave my an estimate of $6852.00 to change the mechanism without changing the cover or the motor. First of all never pay anyone until the job is done, and this is the most fraudulent and dishonest and irresponsible company you can find. I am sure you will find that out when you use them, so don’t waste your time and money. After 4 month of frustration I called another company and fixed it in 15 minutes for $99.
Pool Doctor is my new go-to pool company! We had an issue with our old pool heater and it was time to replace the whole thing. Matt from Pool Doctor came out in less than 24 hours and installed a new heater. He had to do some plumbing reconfiguration but he completed the job. We're all set to heat our pool in the fall. I highly recommend Pool Doctor.
Amazing! I called at 9:30am to talk for a quote, from what I was told would be a compete replacement of our pool pump by other pool repair places, however I was told by the Pool Doctor that they felt it was just the motor. Saved me $400 to $500! Also, I called at 9:30am and they had a tech out by 2:00pm to repair and replace. Great survive and so helpful! All the other pool repair companies I called said 24hr at least to just come to look at my pump. As we all know in the Oklahoma heat a pool that sits will get nasty quick! Thank you Pool Doctor for your amazing help and your awesome Tech. Highly recommend!!
Great pool company. We use them for our real estate transactions pool inspections. Easy to schedule and 1uick to get out there and make our customers at ease. Easy to read reports and extremely thorough and knowledgeable.
Run away. I asked for a quote for the repair they said I needed and then I received a bill for $1400 in which they installed the piece WITHOUT my consent. I showed them proof I requested a quote from their worker, which I never got, and they would not make right.
I do not recommend them. We had a valve handle that didn't work. The tech entered my back yard without talking to me first, flipped the actuator switch thinking it was fixed and left without saying a word to me. I had to call the owner to tell them that it wasn't fixed and to have the tech speak to me before entering my backyard. He returned, knocked on my door, I showed him what was broken and he fixed it. The last call I needed a pump motor replaced and to fix a leak. The tech was really nice, replaced the pump, fixed most of the leaks after it took him longer than he expected. He said they wouldn't charge me for the extra labor. I had no idea what it was going to cost, or an estimate, BEFORE they did the work. I found out when I got my invoice in the mail. The parts were double what I could get them for myself and my invoice was over $1000. Invoice 282244 for 753.24 and 282335 for 267.20 Use a different service.
1st time pool owner - we moved into a house with an established in-ground pool. Pool Doctor has been very helpful and patient with my many questions. I just had them out to install a water heater. Matt and Ryan rerouted some funky plumbing and did a great job with install. So far my experience with them has been excellent.
