Oh my golly, the meat in these burgers is AMAZING. It's got to be ground steak. The quality of this food is far above what you'd expect from a hole in the wall bar and grill. The onion rings... Do you see that picture? They're even better than they look. Go here. Just do it.

This was my first time at the Post Office Saloon and was excited to check it out. The restaurant was very clean and the decor was well designed and comfortable. Our waitress was friendly to a point but since I usually go to restaurants shortly after the lunch or dinner rush one of the advantages of being retired she seemed to be ready to go home. I ordered a Bloody Mary and asked if the steak sandwich was a good choice. She said that it was popular and that "everyone loved it." The drink was very good, I would give it an 8/10. The mix was thick and just a little bit spicy, the vodka house brand was in balance to the mix and the drink was well dressed with pickled asparagus, olives, lime and lemon slices. I was charged $7.50 for it which is about right. The steak sandwich was another story. I had requested it be cooked to medium rare but when I saw how thin it was I was surprised that they even bothered asking me how I wanted it cooked. Seriously, the fries were thicker than the steak! It was well seasoned and was served opened-face with onions and mushrooms but my first three bites were all fat. The rest of it was tough and over cooked. I only ate half of it and when the waitress dropped of the check she asked if I wanted a box for the rest of the sandwich. I told her politely that I really didn't care for it. She replied, "Oh well" and left. For $16 I expected better. I will not be hurrying back to the Post Office.
The food was fine but we went with the intention of getting a steak. They changed their menu to sandwiches and burgers..the food is fine if that's what you're looking for, just not my favorite. I've uploaded new menu photos for youFood: 2/5
I ate there for the first time today and was not impressed at all. Bottomless mimosas and brunch sounded so yummy, so my son and I decided to go, the food was horrible and way over priced. My server didn’t even offer to bag our left overs to take home, to me that’s rude. I always heard they’re a good place to eat, but I would not go back. Maybe lunch and dinner is different.
This place has been around forever! As I recall, they changed hands several years ago and the same people own Maxwell's. They have the selection of food, always been good. Service is usually good, depending on the time you are there. It has a fun, old school feel to it and isn't too loud Like Maxwell's. I love wraps and they had a great turkey n swiss wrap that was probably more heathly looking than it was, but it tasted great. I tried to duplicate it over the weekend and ended up wearing most of it ; - oh well, I tried.
The food was not good. My husband had the ribeye & it was undercooked & the fried prawns were soggy. I had the special spaghetti & DIDN'T like it.Food: 1/5
We had the artichoke dip and it was not great but the fish and chips were ok. The food really wasn't much to speak of but if you just need some food to soak up the beer, it's good. Great service!
Had a really good dinner here. Wife had Salmon with a sweet Chile sauce. I had the Steak Bernaise. Good service. Good drinks. Friendly atmosphere. Only issue was the steak sauce was hollandaise, NOT Bernaise. Maybe a minor issue, but important to me.Food: 4/5
Fun historic post office serving good food. Waitress was very attentive & I met a local resident who gave some great local ideas.Food: 5/5
