My daughter and I love these delicious fresh fruit bowls! Nice and laid back atmosphere while enjoying our fruit bowl! Highly recommend if you’re looking for something other than ice cream and that’s healthier for you. We are addicted!Food: 5/5
Purple Bowl is a solid option for Açaí-related bowls for breakfast and lunch. There’s limited indoor seating and a much bigger outdoor patio out front. You’ll find people studying and chilling outside through the day. We ordered Avocado Toast and a Tropical Bowl. The toast was loaded with avocado and herbs. Well done. The Tropical Bowl was limited to Kiwi and Banana toppings. It could have sued some Mangoes or Pineapples but I figured out those toppings are on other bowls. There are plenty of bowl options. We’ll try more on our next trip. There’s a free lot to the right and street parking along Franklin. If you’re in need of a healthy alternative to loaded pancakes, meat and eggs, Purple Bowl is your spot.
Yum yum yum and yum. They were soooo busy when we went, but still speedy and kind. The smoothie bowl was fresh and delicious!!!!! They have lots of varieties to put in your bowl. They have great seating options including a great shaded are outside. Also, it’s in a wonderful area of the city and nice to walk around!!! Excited to visit this place again soon.
Fresh and healthy. Relaxing place for breakfast! Loved the bowls, They were easy to customize. There are so many choices of ingredients. I ate here two days in a row. It's a quick walk from the AC Marriott downtown Chapel Hill. The service is fast. Nice views of street from the dining area.Food: 5/5
This place did not disappoint! There was a bit of a line to order, but the staff handled everyone’s orders in a timely manor and was very friendly. The bowl itself was awesome. The granola underneath was never soggy, it kept its crunch the entire time I was eating. The fruits atop of my bowl were fresh and tasty. Thanks for the great experience.
The acai bowls are very good, and the place has a nice vibe and convenient location. The avocado toast was delicious as well. You can find parking nearby near the bike shop. The workers are also so nice! But I think the prices are a bit steep for what you're getting. The toast was more bare than I expected. And the bowl sizes should increase or the bowls should come with more toppings to make the bowl prices justified. But despite the price, this is an excellent place to get an acai bowl. I will definitely come again when I want an acai bowl!
Lovely place with a pleasant atmosphere! I had the almond latte with oat milk and it was divine, and service was quick and friendly too! My only complaint is that they upcharge for nondairy milk, but unfortunately that seems to be true for most places. Still a worthwhile treat for sure!Food: 5/5
My daughter and I were visiting from out of town and happened to find this wonderful gem while searching for healthy places to eat for breakfast. We both loved the açaí bowls, nice portion sizes and everything was very fresh! The staff are very friendly, attentive, and very organized! Highly recommend this place and would definitely return if we are back in the area again!
This is my favorite place for acai in the WORLD! The service and food is always great and I love the environment. Recently moved away and I miss this place every week!Recommended dishesAppalachian Trail Bowl, The Dragon Bowl, Simple Bowl, Peanut Butter Banana Toast, Antioxidant Bowl
Although I love Purple Bowl year round, what better way to enjoy a beautiful early summer day than with a bowl of classic açaí with my favorite fresh fruits. The bowls are not only satisfying and nutritious, but made to order with such care and artistry…you almost hate to dig in so fast ! The staff is always engaging, courteous and helpful. Although I came in for bowls, I also have to give a shout out to the Iced Lavender Latte…such a treat!
