The Red Door Cafe
It is clear that our community has many needs that are not yet being met. Lack of funding has hurt all of our non-profits and many Christian outreach efforts. While most of our local businesses are good citizens doing what they can to help . . . the whole purpose of The Red Door Emporium is to be a community funding resource. Half of our profits go to Christian outreach and mission, half to our nonprofits through a grant program.
Why a red door? The first red doors were colored with sheep’s blood to guard the children of Israel from the Angel of Death. Then, in medieval times, if someone was being pursued and could make it through the red doors of a church, sanctuary from all authorities could be claimed.
We don’t expect you are being pursued! But either way, we hope you come to know The Red Door Emporium as a sanctuary where you can relax your body and mind and enjoy the work of our Alabama artisans and delicious Red Door Coffee.
