Owner has a great selection of reasonably priced furniture and home goods. The store is quite large, with lots of rooms to roam around in and explore. I didn't find what I was looking for, but I would definitely keep this one on my list of resale shops to explore for future purchases. The owner was quite gracious and welcoming. Although I didn't make a purchase, I had a wonderful time browsing.,
A week ago we agreed to by a table from The Red Door Resale, in Simpsonville, SC. They told us there was a damaged drawer in it and they would fix it and call us when it was fixed, or if it could not be fixed, they would call us and offer it to us at a lower price. Either way, we agreed to buy it. We hadn't heard from them, so we went there today. They told us that it was sold to someone else who they claimed was "ahead" of us on a list of people who wanted to buy it. When we bought it a week ago, we were not told that anyone else wanted to buy it, and we assured them we would buy it whether it was fixed or not. If there actually was someone who had agreed to buy it, when we went there last week, I assume they would've told us it was already sold, in the first place. We are very unhappy about this, and feel we have been cheated, as someone must have ! come in and offered them more money than they were asking, or something like that, because there was no reason for them to assume we wouldn't buy it. This is a practice I call "sharp trading," and I think it stinks.
I've been to the red door resale several times and have always purchased something there always find something that I want I would recommend it for anyone who loves second hand decorating stores at very reasonable prices in the lady who runs it is just a doll
