At the Rock House School of Music our mission is to teach students of all ages to play music in a fun, easy and effective manner.
The Rock House Method has been proven effective, teaching millions of people around the world to play music for over 25 years. Our ground breaking curriculum book series for Guitar, Bass guitar and Piano is a new and exciting way to learn to play music. This comprehensive learning system takes a student from the first time they see an instrument to the most advanced level covering all genres of music. We not only teach the essentials of music, theory and timing but give specific examples of how to apply them to make music, play songs and have fun in the process.
All our teachers are Certified Rock House Instructors. Each teacher goes through a thorough training and testing program to ensure they are prepared to teach at the highest level. This ensures each student will have an easy and effective learning experience.
We offer an extensive Lesson Support Website. Backing tracks, tablature sheet music, additional information, blank sheet music, metronome and tuner software and blank sheet music are all available from our Lesson Support site.
Our exclusive Quiz System helps the student, teacher and parent know how each student is progressing. Every curriculum book includes several challenging quizzes throughout the program. These quizzes are located on the lesson support site. The quizzes are emailed directly to the student, school and the teacher for review. For the first time ever this allows you to see the progress at every stage of your learning process.
To help provide an effective learning environment we encourage Parent Involvement. The path for success will be easier when parents help to guide their children to get the most out of their daily practice at home. The teachers will take time at the end of each lesson to explain the student’s assignments for the week. This will help you understand what they should be practicing and get involved in the child’s learning process.
