We had the worst experience ever Recently, we purchased a SkyTower Kingsize bedroom, the most expensive from the store, we paid a lot for it. Respectively, we expected a high quality and new product. When I saw what I received, I was shocked, all the furniture and the bed frame are in scratches, glue, blood, cracks and much more. the furniture looks used already. We tried to contact the person who sold us the bed, the store manager and the sales manager to make a return. But it turned out that one of the policies that was not explained to us and was never mentioned to us at the time of purchase, is that we do not have the possibility to return the furniture and get refunded money . We were waited four weeks until we got the bed. For the past two weeks, we have been struggling to find the right way to finally be told that such a bed to be changed will be ready in December. We bought the bed on August 14. The whole team tries to ignore us, they are telling us that they will call us and no one calls us. We highly recommend you to avoid roomplace, if you don't want similar situations. We are forced to waste time, money and hours on the phone so that in the end nothing is resolved. …I repeat, the worst experience so far.
Amazing job done by Al and Dan who both did an amazing job assisting us with our purchase including staying late after closing to complete the order. Thanks for the good work guys! I definitely recommend asking about either when looking for help.
We finally moved into our first home after years of waiting. Weeks ago we went and purchased our dream, squishy couch from The RoomPlace. Our sales person for the couch seemed straight out of training and screwed up our order. What we wanted was, for the most part, the sectional floor display except no chaise portion. Well he ordered us 2 sofa sectionals..... that couldn't even possibly connect. **insert facepalm** When the drivers delivered mind you it was 7am when they came, and i was super happy to have everything at the earilest time : , they said they could not take back the unusable part of the couch; and now we have a plastic wrapped couch sitting in our house. We were told we had to call the store to get it returned. We waited 3 hours for the store to open. Joan, the store manager, was the wonderful woman who helped us. She's really made a personal connection with us, apologizing, and truly made a difference in our experience. She was able to fix the order, and now we will have the correct half of our couch this coming Saturday. Thank you Joan for taking such good care of us. In this day and age, the kindness you showed is not common. We truly appreciate you, your personality, and your heart.
Joan and Jorge are excellent. If we needed something adjusted we have no problem getting it fixed. We are moving to Arizona and they set my order up to be delivered there.
We have recently purchased a 4 piece sofa/ chaise lounge. The chaise lounge was the first piece we had an issue with, there’s a huge gap between the seat and the backing which puts the lumber bar directly into your back. Then the sofa piece complete cracked in the middle so there’s a giant sink hole. They came out to look at the furniture and indeed stated the couch was broken on both sides. Then they were supposed to pick up the broken chaise lounge and took the wrong piece and tried to charge us for it. We have called customer service numerous times and have been hung up on and sent to different people. They called and told us we owe them $800 for them taking the wrong piece! AVOID THIS GARBAGE FURNITURE AT ALL COSTS!!
The sales person was helpful and knowledgeable about what I needed in a mattress. He was not forceful very very nice and helpful. My delivery was delivered on time and setup. Very professional team. Thank you Al assistant manager. I am very pleased as of now
I recently purchased a table from the Downers Grove, IL location. I love the table! Joan, the store manager, assisted me with the purchase of the table. She was very professional, and she wasn't pushy- which I appreciated. She also apologized for previous issues that I had incurred from a previous purchase handled by her sales manager Ken, AND she apologized for the poor service and incorrect information I received at the location in Lombard, IL. Joan made sure that the process was seamless, and she even threw in some stain remover for our troubles. Joan was very customer oriented. Even though I was reluctant to make another purchase with the Room Place due to a previous experience, I'm glad I was able to work with Joan and walk away satisfied. Your company needs more workers like her who are committed to customer satisfaction and who actually listen to the customer's needs. Thank you Joan for everything!!!!
After three attempts to get our left piece due to damage. This is what we end up with and didn’t even know they were delivering today. Very poor communication . At this point just want to return it.
Excellent service, so pleased they way they treated me. Upon arriving I was greeted, the associates Fahad and Frank were really helpful, kind, knowledgeable and professional. After visiting different furniture store,where none of the associates tried to greet me and ask if I need any help, this was such a great experience, and i can highly recommend this store, where you are treated with respect and are appreciated as a customer.
The worst furniture buying experience I've ever had! I wish I could give this place negative stars. I bought a kitchen table from here about a month ago. Picked it up from the warehouse brought it home and it was nothing like the piece they had on the showroom floor. Poor workmanship, dents, dings, chipped paint everywhere. Went back to the store to tell them I got a defective product and they said they couldn't do anything for me because I picked up the furniture and didn't get it delivered. They said my best bet was to call customer service and see if they could do something for me. I asked to speak to the store manager and the store manager was on vacation. The customer service manager told me she would have the store manager call me as soon as she gets back, guess what? Never got a call from the store manager. Maybe she's on a 1 month long vacation? Who knows! Anyways, I called customer service the next day and they said they will help me file a claim, I just need to send them pictures of the defective furniture, so I did that. After a few days they said they need to send out a technician to verify that the damage was not "customer inflicted" and was from the manufacturer. Technician came to my home and verified that damage was indeed not caused by me. Waited another 1 week to hear back from customer service for a decision and they never called me. I had to call them myself. Upon calling them they tell me they cant do anything for me because I picked up the item and didn't get it delivered. Basically I am gonna have to keep this defective product because I did not pay them to deliver it to my home. Mind you I even purchased the extended warranty on this piece and still they cannot do anything for me. This has been the worst purchase I've ever made and I will never shop at The Roomplace ever again nor would I recommend anyone else shop there as well. Please save yourself the headache and hassle if you get a defective piece because they won't replace it for you.
