The Roy R. Charles Center for Academic Excellence supports faculty development, student research and engaged learning, honors and interdisciplinary studies.
The Charles Center, founded in 1986, has played a pivotal role in establishing William & Mary's well-deserved reputation as a "Public Ivy." The Center is dedicated to expanding the number of high impact research and interdisciplinary opportunities that are available to students, and to supporting faculty efforts to adopt new teaching methods to integrate the teaching and research missions of the College.
