Mission Statement: The Student Art Gallery is a network of students striving to provide support, community, and education for students interested in observing, creating, submitting, and/or curating art. Art of all mediums and levels are welcome. We provide workshops, lectures and resources for the campus as well as regular shows and gallery hours. In addition to exhibiting their work, we provide training and experience curating, promoting, installing, and documenting student artwork.
The Student Art Gallery is a student-directed, student run organization.The SAG organizes lots of fun events for the Evergreen community, including Gallery Openings, Open Mics, and Live Music. In addition to events, the SAG is one of the few clubs on campus that operates a designated space! Students are what power the SAG. Active members of the gallery help maintain hours of operation, facilitate weekly meetings, curation, marketing, bud- get expenditures, and maintaining the gallery space. The SAG only exhibits STUDENT ARTWORK!! The SAG’s goal is to showcase student artwork to the community, and give students the opportunity to gain experience in the art world. All forms of art and creativity is encouraged at the SAG. Students have the opportunity to exhib- it artwork to a juried art show, OR for a faculty member, group of artists, or a single artist to organize and curate their own exhibit. The SAG is a friendly, accessible, and supportive environment for students and artists to thrive
