"The Salon was established in 1981. In May of 2018, The Salon moved to it's new and current location on Third Street, downtown Grand Haven.We are a full service salon for men, women and children. Our highly trained and experienced staff has attended trade shows in Michigan, Ohio, Chicago, New York, and Las Vegas.Owner Rachel Jakubiec, along with her dedicated team, aim to provide you with a comfortable and relaxing experience."

Guys, if you need a great haircut, go see Vickie at The Salon.  Most “chain” barbershops are overbooked and rush people in and out of the chair without really listening to what the customer wants.  The result is usually a mediocre haircut.  Vickie makes sure her haircuts are exceptional by listening to exactly what you want and asking questions.  She always makes sure the haircut is absolutely perfect and you are 100% happy with it, even if it takes her a few more minutes to complete.  Go see Vickie at The Salon, you will be happy with the results!

Vickie did my hair for my wedding last August and she did a beautiful job! This was no easy feat...my hair is down past my butt! I am very picky, dont trust anyone with my locks and haven't had a cut in years! Safe to say I was uneasy...she immediately put me at ease and I felt so comfortable! She colored, cut and styled my hair beautifully! This took hours and she never complained or made it seem like a daunting task. She listened carefully to what I wanted and executed it perfectly! I appreciate the work she does and the great person she is! Definitely reccomend

Vickie Is an amazing stylist! She has done my hair and make-up for events and I’ve received so many compliments! She has also given me several shellac manicures. I definitely recommend her!

I got a cut and color here about a week ago. I hate to write a negative review and my stylist was very nice. I really like my cut. Unfortunately my color was nothing like what I was after. I would understand it not being exact as I never expect that. But I wish it was even a little like the picture I showed. It's hard to pay $100+ and hardly notice a difference. I would much rather have not been in love with the cut. However, like I said my stylist was otherwise great and it's a very nice place! Would go back for cuts but maybe try a new place for color.

Vicki cuts my 3 year old grandson’s hair and she is wonderful with him. He’s a little nervous, but she lets him sit on my lap & explains what shes’s doing, let’s him hear & feel the clippers, so he’s not frightened. He comes from out of town & she has been very flexible to fit him in when she can. He’s not afraid to get his haircut anymore!

Vickie at The Salon is a very impressive hair stylist who cant be beat. No matter how far the drive it is worth tbe trip for her to cut your hair. There is no one better.
