Through Side-Out’s programs, the volleyball community sponsors The Side-Out Protocol clinical trials at renowned medical institutions across the country.
Side-Out directly funds “game-changing” breast cancer research and support. We raise millions that fund our own cutting-edge clinical trials at renowned medical institutions. This unique approach is successfully extending the lives of people with stage 4 breast cancer. A portion of the money raised through Side-Out also goes to high-quality support services for cancer patients and their families.
Side-Out empowers young athletes. Through Dig Pink® and other programs, Side-Out coaches thousands of young people in skills such as teamwork, leadership and perseverance, and gives them opportunities to live meaningful and healthy lives. Side-Out also awards scholarships that encourage students to continue a life of setting and achieving their goals.
Side-Out uses the power and teamwork of the volleyball community to beat cancer. Side-Out has started a powerful movement within the volleyball community. Each year, tens of thousands of volleyball players, coaches and families across the country join together to participate in Side-Out programs. Together, they support the development of treatments that are giving stage 4 breast cancer patients more quality time with their families and getting them closer to the day we find a cure.
Through youth education and empowerment, The Side-Out Foundation unifies the volleyball community to drive change in the way that breast cancer is treated.
Dig Pink® Movement
Each year, hundreds of teams across the country (and some overseas) start Dig Pink® campaigns in support of Side-Out’s game-changing stage IV breast cancer research. With endless ways to get involved, how teams participate is up to them! Whether they participate in Dig Pink® by hosting a match or tournament with the team or taking part in the Dig Pink National Dig-A-Thon, volleyball is making an impact on the way breast cancer is treated!
