Cute cafe with a wide selection of sandwiches and drinks. Service was fast even though the place was fairly full at lunch. The cardamom latte sounded interesting and did not disappoint at all. Sept 2022 Update - Iced ginger tea was excellent and a cup of hot tumeric ginger tea was enjoyed by my friend. Good for the immune system too! Great food, lattes, and atmosphere for meeting up with friends, colleagues and clients. Plenty of space to work too. Had the pistachio turkey sandwich today, which was good, but the bacon pesto grilled cheese was divine! All the flavors blended well together. Don't forget to order a side of their homemade chips. Check out their omelettes too! My friend always gets the lavender latte, and I had the rosemary salted caramel latte today. Both are great.
Came here for lunch as I was passing through town. I also was looking for a cafe I could work at. I had much higher expectations for this place based on what I had heard from others. The day I came in the staff behind the counter weren’t very friendly or welcoming. The experience was closer to what you’d get a gas station McDonald’s. That’s the first star. The second star is for the soggy bread on the bottom half of my sandwich. I ordered the corned beef and cheddar with a side of soup. The sandwich and soup was neatly plated and looked appetizing, but once I picked up the sandwich, the bottom piece of artisan bread had soaked through with whatever sauce they had put on it. Didn’t bother asking for another as I was in a hurry. Might stop in another time if time and place happens to be convenient. Otherwise, won’t be seeking it out.
Great except there's no sign that says you have to order at the counter for sit down service. We foolishly waited 10 minutes and were seriously ignored by staff until I asked. You either need to have staff engage with customers or have a sign explaining that there is no table service. Having to flag down a server who was clearly in a hurry was not a positive way to begin our brunch and think a tiny bit of consideration for the guest experience would have made a big difference.
Songbird Cafe is delicious! We have tried several brunch items and sandwiches — you cannot go wrong when ordering because everything is delicious. We have especially enjoyed the breakfast sandwiches and home fries. The coffee is really good, as well!Food: 5/5
The food was delicious and the staff very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the atmosphere. It was clean and spacious, with nice decor especially the burlap coffee bag seats!. Many interesting options for coffee, tea and sandwiches. Will try to come back again soon.
Great and different latte's! Loved! We ordered lavender latte, caramel latte, the menu offers black pepper , cardamon, rosemary, and sea salt to name a few of the different flavors offered. Very nice ambiance. Bakery items look sinful!
I had the Chipotle Turkey Club, the red velvet cupcake, and cold brew coffee. The club was fresh, large, but lacking in flavor in the chipotle sauce. The cupcake was good, not great. The coffee was good. The people were nice and the food came quick. I may come back to try something else, but wouldn't go out of my way to come back.
A local Ann Arbor restaurant with a wide range of menu choices. The Corned Beef and Cheddar sandwich is delicious.
