An iconic record store if ever there was one. Serious music lovers could easily spend hours here browsing. Fun to see photos of all of the musicians who have visited scattered throughout the store.
One of the very finest vinyl shops anywhere. Certainly deserves its recent national accolades. Super-fine diverse stock of all genres of records. Great $1 and $3 bins with huge jumbles of all sorts of albums. Well-worth digging through extra-carefully. Treasures at very fair prices can be found most days. Great, well-curated New Arrivals bins as well. Also Decent arrays of used cds on hand. A Destination vinyl garden for sure! Go Already!
Great spot, easy to get to in Fells Point. Good selection. Need a functioning listening station for the pre-owned vinyl to check quality. I would have bought 3 more albums if I could have listened to a few tracks. 7 day return policy does nothing for out of town customers.
I submitted a google form to sell my collection. They responded within 24 hours and Philip came out to assess my collection the next day even though I live an hour away. Philip was professional and personable. He gave me a fair offer and took my collection away the same day. I couldn’t be happier with the entire experience.
Bit of an early review as the event is still happening but I needed to share. This is a great store with a great selection, but more importantly, great staff. I bought Noah Kahan’s vinyl for the signing but had some accessibility concerns. They were very helpful in answering my accessibility questions and allowing my caregiver to stay with me. They even let me have a seat indoors during the line so I would be more comfortable. I’ll be back for the great selection but also for the kindness of the staff. Thank you for helping me meet my idol in spite of my limitations.
Bought a used record online from their shop which I hate to do, But it's not a very common album and they happen to have one. Shipping was fast and the condition of the record and sleeve looks like it was never opened. Very impressed.
thanks for the Kandace Springs LP!!, these are getting hard to find and in stock, i invested in her on LP because she is that good of a new jazz musician. Something about listening to jazz on LP!!, thanks for the card, hope to do more business with you!!
I visited Baltimore and decided to check out this place. I visited here twice. My first visit was upon my arrival to Baltimore, and my second visit was two days later right before I left Baltimore. I shaved one star off, and this is just my opinion, for not having a CD section as large as I would have liked. I know vinyl is hip and outselling CDs, but CDs are my first choice for listening to music. Vinyl is second. I did like how they labeled the artists in each section. Instead of having for example a P section some of the artists such as Pink Floyd would have a tab. This made browsing easier. Then they would put extra P artists in a miscellaneous P section. Everything was done like that, and I liked that. I feel like a lot of things were reasonably priced. I picked up about 20 CDs total, mostly new, for a little over $140 with tax.
Don't go there to trade or sell DVDs or cds. They treat you like a junkie. They offered me 20cents on Cds. Never again. Obviously, an employee will come on here and say my CDs were of inferior quality. Just go there and see for yourself. It is not the same as it was by far when they would give you a reasonable price or trade. Especially since they sell online...
Pretty much has everything from new stuff to $1 used vinyl if you want to flip through, as well as CDs, tapes, video games, DVDs. Plus a nice selection of board games and whimsical socks- the kind with jokes about farts and how many plants you own, etc.
