This page is dedicated to sharing the unique culture and heritage of South Dakota Germans from Russia.
Planning is now underway for the South Dakota Germans from Russia Cultural Center. This history and research center will be housed on the second floor of the Northern State University Library. Over 5,000 square feet has been set aside, and will include a permanent exhibit telling the story of the Germans from Russia in South Dakota through images, documents, artifacts, and oral history interviews. Rotating exhibitions will highlight specific aspects of the Germans from Russia culture. An extensive monograph collection will also be available to genealogists and researchers.
