As a part of my own mental health wellness, I’ve decided to embark in and learn new skills and knowledge. First up: bartending classes. Southern California Bartending School offers a 90-minute intro, to “get your feet wet”. During our time together, we learned of the world of today’s mixologist. The information was valuable, as I “tend bar” in my home for gatherings. I have greater appreciation for the craft and considering continuing to learn more and grow. Thank you, Ashley for making the class engaging, fun and memorable. I will always remember your secret way of making an “old fashion”. Thanks again.
I’m going to start by saying that before I even signed up for my classes I was in contact with the school just asking some questions and not only were my questions answered in a timely manner but it influenced me even more to sign up because they were so helpful with the process and with any ?/concerns I had. I started my classes with Kristen she was just amazing. From showing us tips on how to get things done easily, fast and safe. She was very hardworking and worked with us to make sure we were comfortable in the learning process, understanding pour counts and what to expect in the industry. Next we had Rhianna, she broke down drinks and garnishes. Really encouraged different ways of learning the drinks from flash cards to showing videos of the actual drinks when layered b-52. We were also introduced to Ashley! She put us through our speed rounds while also taking the time to pause and help us come up with ways to remember the difference between drinks we struggled with. Not only did she provide us with the tools to help retain information but also encourage breaks in between. This class is a lot of dense information but it also targets different learning styles and when your instructors are this attentive and encouraging you cannot go wrong. Thank you SCBS I appreciate all of you, and all the fun I’ve had :

I am so happy that I enrolled here! Unlike other bartending schools that I’ve come across, Southern CA Bartending School has a curriculum that was developed by actual college professors / veteran bartenders and runs in a hybrid class format. They also offer both classes that are scheduled during the week and others that are only on the weekends. It did not take me long to realize how much the instructors and the owner, Laura, want you to succeed as bartender. My instructors Kristen and Riahna were so knowledgeable, supportive and motivating in their teaching styles and were very welcoming to answer my questions. Throughout this course you will not only memorize cocktail recipes but also learn about the many different laws, ethics, , bartending procedures and strategic methods of providing customer service. The best part is is after passing this course you will then be added to receive bartending leads for private events and job openings! Personally, I went from knowing almost nothing about alcohol as I’m not much of a drinker to having a solid foundation of knowledge and confidence as a new bartender. I definitely made the right choice by going with this school and I could not be happier with my learning experience! Thank you SCBS!
School is a great place to learn where to bartend. Instructors are super friendly, funny, caring and understanding. I would recommend anyone to attend, the course is fast pace, hands on immediately and has online learning as well. The information provided by instructors is very accurate and they are very knowledgeable. Im grateful to have attended the class!
This is a great place to learn how to bartend and how to make popular drinks. The first day can be daunting with all the information you’ll need to learn, but all the instructors have a ton of experience working at high volume bartending locations and educational backgrounds teaching college students. They also provide insights and tips into the industry while teaching with enthusiasm and a great positive energy. The instructors genuinely want to see you succeed so I would definitely recommend this school to anyone wanting to learn more about bartending.
Ashley was a great bartending instructor! She was thorough with her demonstrations on how to properly make drinks while also being professional behind a bar. She had been very friendly and open with our group, which made it more fun, comfortable, and as if she was one of us instead of just our instructor. I feel like I am leaving the class with not only great tips and techniques, but with new drink knowledge and friends from class, including Ashley. I would definitely recommend SoCal Bartending School to anyone wanting to become a bartender or even to those only interested in learning more about mixology...you won’t regret it!
I attended this class at the beginning of January 2023, in my experience it is a quality class that focuses on different aspects of working a bar, from opening to closing, drink recipes to pour counts, practice to speed drills, it’s an in-depth learning experience. My favorite instructor was Kristen, she got very involved when it came to teaching us the drinks we need to know. Ashley and Riahna were also very helpful, and it ultimately depends on your own participation and willingness to succeed.
Really enjoyed my time here. Easily surpassed my expectations. The facility and instructors are great. I had to miss the first day and they had an instructor come an hour early just to catch me up. Amazing commitment to their students. Kristin, the instructor that came early, was absolutely awesome both as a teacher and a person. College professors should take notes from her! Overall, it was a great experience and I learned more than I ever thought I would!
This school uses the best of adult learning strategies. The hardest stuff is upfront so you have the most time to memorize it. You are hands-on from day one. The videos are full of industry secrets and unspoken rules. It's amazing that after 2 weeks 6 classes, I feel completely ready for the workforce! So grateful for this opportunity, and the price is incredible too!
