The only reason this is a one star review is no ability to give less. I have done business with Stove Keepers for over 10 years. I even purchased a stove from them. Last week when inquiring about pellet delivery I was informed rudely they are not delivering this year. Today I decided I would purchase a ton and make several trips to pick them up as I do not own a truck. I was rudely informed they could only sell buy the bagor wha what I could take. I will never do business with them again.
Beware !!! We ordered a woodstove in August 2022 and were told we would have delivery in 2 weeks, then delivery in October, then delivery in December and then finally January 2023. We were quoted a price in August, however once the stove was finally installed we received a bill $600 over the original quote with no explanation! We contacted Mark, the manager and he refused to discuss this issue and would not honor the original quote.. We would never buy anything from Stove Keepers or refer anyone to go there.
Well, I have been getting pellets here for a few years. First year was great as well as the second. However, the following 3 have been rather disappointing. After being told there was plenty of stock each time over the phone, I went in the very next day to find my intended product no longer available. Three years running. They don't allow you to pre purchase, unless you are having them delivered, which they are always so backed up that they don't take on any more deliveries. Overall, I'm quite displeased with the way my experience has been trending. This year, my 3 tons of pellets look as though I'll have at least 10 unusable bags due to moisture being inside the wrapping.
I've been using then for a couple years now. They are always friendly and helpful. They try to work with you as much as possible. I recommend using them for all of your Pellet stove needs.
1st time here went to look at pellet stoves. Staff was courteous and knowledgeable about their product line. Bought a Harman P43 and I'm looking forward to having them install it.. very nice experience..
I had an awesome experience with Stove Keepers. This was my first time using them and I couldn’t be happier. The cleaning is unbelievable and the employees couldn’t be nicer. I had Bill and Jason clean my stove and move it. They were very polite and a pleasure to have in our home. The stove also had issues feeding and there was a knocking sound so it needed to be repaired. Norm came out on a SATURDAY and pulled it apart and found the problem and fixed it on the spot. These people are just awesome. The customer service is as great as the stove service. I spoke with Mark who was willing to work me in even though I had a very small window available to have the stove serviced and moved. I can’t say enough about them. Highly recommend. Also, they have a really good spring cleaning deal that I will jump on again next year!
Ordered a pellet stove from Stove Keepers, no issues up until the day we had the pellet stove delivered. They did everything they could except connect the unit because we had a hole in our ceiling due to the previous wood stove, they told me they would come back to help if we had any issues as long as it was before September. I called them a few weeks later after the ceiling hole was patched to help connect it, and they wanted another $150 for a service call. Since we have already given them $5K, plus $150 to take away our old wood stove-I said no thank you. We tried to connect it ourselves, but was unable to. Very disappointed and frustrated.
This place is horrible. I go in looking for information about stoves. I get told 10% off the purchase. I said ok, is that still good if I come back at the end of the week? Yes, they said. Come back end of week and the “deal” has ended. I say ok, I want stove. Ask when they can come out and do an estimate. “We don’t need to do one,” they said. I purchase the sales and installation for nearly 5k. They get to the house to install it 3 months later and they tell me I need to pay an extra $700 because my chimney is to tall. I call the office and no willingness to negotiate any type of deal. The office “manager” is a joke, he’s like a child, can barely articulate his words. I got a refund and walked. So unprofessional. Stay away from this place!!!!!!
Negligent!!! FIRE!!! Be careful of this company. My house burned because of the negligent installation of a pellet stove by this company. They admitted as much in depositions but vowed to blame it on me in court. They failed to install a fire barrier under the stove. When I called because the stove was turning off due to its safety feature, they told me to change the setting without looking into it further. They admitted the improper installation but wanted to blame it on me that I hadn’t cleaned my stove properly, which is easily proven otherwise by experts by the way the fire spread through the floor but to prove that I’d have to spend tens of thousands more dollars, so I settled. They dragged it out for 4.5 years and then I was still only able to retrieve 60 cents on the dollar of the cost of replacing my house between insurance and stove company. This is part of the legal record. What you don’t see is how they blame you knowing what the real cause was. Yes, that is how the legal and insurance system works. And no humans were injured, only animal. And that is not considered “worth the fight”. And yes, mistakes happen. But the owner of this company was deposed and he admitted to the incorrect installation and he had insurance to cover the damage, and he chose not to. Shame on you Stove Keepers. Be so very careful when you deal with this unethical, immoral company.
My experience with Stove Keepers was exceptional! Very informative crew that took the time to explain everything we needed to know to have full knowledge of our new Harmon Pellet Stove. Professionalism in installing and spot on deliveries. I have dealt with other dealers and this is by far my go to place! Kudos to your staff for making our experience that satisfactory. And as Joe puts it we have a fire breathing dragon in our home!
