Friendly and welcoming. If you're a man who loves to sing, this is the place to be.
I had my wedding reception at Jim Miller Hall and I couldn't have asked for a better space. The owners were so accommodating and willing to work with us every step of the way. Great location and a great atmosphere !
Really great place.to have a party,or reception. Loved stained glass.windows. gave the place a nice feel. Dance floor plenty big. And good parking.
If your a man and love to sing come out on Mondays at 7pm
If you like to sing come bye on Monday at 7.
Historic, nearly-130-year-old church building and graveyard. Home of the Louisville Thoroughbreds, a great men's chorus with a brilliant musical director! Plus, they rent the Hall for weddings, rehearsals, or other events. Good place to be; and a good piece of Jeffersontown history!
if you are a man that loves to sing, Every Monday night starting at 7pm. Just tell them Randy McLain sent you.
Sure, the venue is "pretty" and "historic" and all of that good stuff, but let me tell you what's not good about this place. The married couple who are in charge of renting the space out for weddings are the two most incompetent people with whom I've ever done business. If I went into all of the details leading up to this review it would be a 10 page essay, so I'll keep it as short as possible. Our wedding was 9/23 and I'm still trying to get my $250 damage deposit back. At first they claimed we didn't do a good job cleaning up and they had to pay "one of their guys for 1.5 hours labor" FALSE, we left the place cleaner than it was when we went in so I called their bluff on that. We went on our honeymoon and just came back this past Sunday and still had no money or word from these folks. I contacted them via text message and he told me he had submitted it to their treasurer. 2 days go by, I hear nothing, so I texted him to make sure he had the correct address to send my money. He responds saying the treasurer is having a hard time reading the receipts, could I tell him how much we paid and what date? Ok, now, one would assume the damage deposit is always the same so I have no idea why he would even ask that part, but I do have my receipts so I looked at them which, they are perfectly legible as written out by his WIFE the day she took the money orders and sent him pictures. Then, suddenly, he wants to know "what about the other $750?" the full cost of renting the hall, not including damage deposit Again, I have receipts so I send those. THEN, he has the nerve to say his treasurer is in a Board of directors meeting but do I think I can "contact the bank to see if those were cashed and when, that should be more than enough proof." More than enough proof? Receipts are more than enough proof, idiot. I don't have to contact anybody to see who, when, where, or how those money orders were cashed. Not my problem, it became YOUR problem when your wife accepted the money orders and wrote out the receipts. Long story short, you get what you pay for this is truly one of the most affordable places in town to rent for a wedding but DO NOT DO BUSINESS with these people. They are only a few days from me putting their names on blast to go with this review.
Nice place, reasonable prices and friendly, helpful staff. Highly recommend for any special occasion!
A great place to host an event. Newly renovated. Looks very nice. Eric is great to work with.
