Wow this was a fantastic unexpected surprise. Super cool to see his house and studio. If you’re a fan of Maynard Dixon this is a must see. Ran by a nice friendly artist
Very nice hotel and great staff. Best place in Vernal and great location. Would give it 5 stars but thought it was a bit pricey for vernal. Stayed 3 nights.
Absolutely awesome. The Bingham's maintain this artist treasure. Maynard Dixon was a renown artist in the area and painted Zion and the surrounding area. Artists gather here. Will definitely come again.

It's nice to visit the onetime residence of this great artist. It is odd to find a flat-screen television and a modern fridgidare in a living historic museum. The property has a feel of a multi purposed income venture and the path to the memorial to Mr Dixon feels neglected. But the bungalow architecture and southwestern furnishings are very lovely to see.
Interesting to see this home & studio of Dixon. Happenstance that we saw it. $20 donation for admission.Visited onWeekday
I spent a good part of the day at the Maynard Dixon living history museum in Mt Carmel. The Dixon living history museum is a elegant south western museum. With many new SW Artists represented. As a profession photographer who admired Ansel Adams images and was friends with Maynard Dixon. The photographs on display this spring 2019 at the museum is first rate. The exhibit in the museum from the Hiller & Powell expedition is an amazing collection of early photographs of the native people of that time. 116 original albumen photographs by Jack Hiller from the 1872 John Wesley Powell Expedition. Executed between 1872 and 1875, these images depict native Americans in the region surrounding the base camp of Powell in Kanab,Utah and the surrounding areas of Southern Utah, Northern Arizona, Northern Nevada and areas along the Wasatch front. From a historical perspective this southwest museum should not be missed if what to learn more about the history of this land.
Nice showing of paintings from a dozen or so artists. This was just a quick visit so nothing to in depth.
Beautiful restoration of a lovely and historic artist’s summer retreat. We loved the grounds, the home and studio and especially the art. A fabulous find!!! The guided tour gave us wonderful insight.
